If you can be wired i would just do that if its easy and not causing cords to be all over your house for people to see, I have wireless and have no problems. Downloads can be slower but if you do them early in the morning like 7am or so its much quicker usually 15-20 for 2000MB for me. But wired is always best but no issues with wireless its just really comes down to where your set up is, i would not go out of my way.

just do a red/white cables from your surround to your tv out and keep the HDMI from your ps3 to your tv it will work. It sounds awesome anyway there is not too much difference IMO. Try it and see what you think, just change to what your using in your set up under settings

OK, thanks guys, I thought some save data was locked so I couldn't copy it.

Dark-Star13
not when using the back up feature, if you copied like a game save and then went to another ps3 to upload it you would lose trophy support and such like that

If you're simply upgrading the harddrive, use the back up data option in system settings and you shouldn't lose a thing. The ps3 will accept any 2.5" harddrive. 4NGoods
Yah i did this and did not lose anything at all, just for future keep your old PS3 HDD somewhere safe, if your ps3 breaks and you decide you want to exchange it for some offer possibly you need to have the original HDD with the system. just to keep your options open

you might have better luck connecting all sound through your tv instead of your ps3, i just have the HDMI to my tv and then optical in on my tv from my surround sound and it does not have issues ever the last 4 years i have had it. Trying hooking it up that way and see if it helps
