Since a few days ago when i played COD4, the part where it shows you the main menu of online where it says your name and level. Well, when i wanna pick a match, instead of giving me the options of what type of match to play, it tells me (Downloading Settings please wait...)...???I mean its supposed to already give me the options of what to play, but is this happening to anyone??? When it says, "downloading settings please wait," it lasts for about 3-5 minutes then it finally lets me play and choose my match...Oh and during gamplay on cod4 my system froze...

BTW: this only happens with COD4, cuz I tried it with Warhawk and MGO and it works perfect, Imma try it with Resistance and hopefully it doesnt do it.

when COD4 first came out last year this was a horrible problem that it had, and it affected alot of people. I am not sure why it would be happening again but its not your ps3 its the game and their connection so dont freak out. you can look online for COD4 Downloading settings fixes and see if anyone has posted troubleshooting since its been a while you will most likely find something

Exclusivity is coming to an end. A game will come out for a specific console, but then about after 6-12 months the game is available on the other console.

Downloadable Content should stay as long as people are paying to download them. Those who are not willing to pay extra should not complain. Technically they are not losing anything. They are just feeling cheated.

Uhmmm... You don't seem to understand what I posted. Let me give you an example. I WANT to pay for extra content on GTA4 but only 360 users get it. I WANT to pay for Alone In The Dark add on content but that's also only for 360 users. Since both titles are for Both systems, I feel that I should have the right to pay for the same add on content that 360 users get. But Microsoft has blocked Sony consumers from having that option by making a "deal" with these third party developers. And that's just unfair for consumers.

I have no problems with exclusive games. But if a game is NOT exclusive, then the content shouldn't be either. Is no one going to agree with that? I think it's pretty cut and dry.

This has become the NExt Gen War i guess you can call it, now that more games going multiplat the fight has moved to DLC to win the war, just look at it that way. You cant changed it, you have to deal with it and sooner or later it will reverse on certain games that only PS3 will get DLC

Socom has not had the same following since after the second one, although a lot stayed loyal with 3 and CA, its still had a lot of drop off, confrontation is suppose to bring that back and whether it does or not remains to be seen. Warhawk is a fun game with quick gameplay. it will not replace warhawk, and history has not been kind to great games branched out to other devs, (exception is COD4). every game i have seen come from ps2 to ps3 has had less and you get more space WTF is that and socom is no different this time around i just hope its good when its all said and done at release

at the end of the day its just a beta.. the game itself will have the fix version of everything... im also in the beta and i also agree even though its my 1st socom game ever played..Keasy4

The beta's only true mission was to test the network so just so you know, i did not read all of it but i agree i am a die hard fan and this was suppose to be it, and while its not all bad i cannot get used to the slowness of my character it drives me crazy after cod4 and warhawk. i played the beta for a few times but couldnt deal with that. this game IMO has just never felt right after socom 2

You meen Warhawk? But anyways i hope not, I am nowhere near done with warhawk. That is a vallid point about the headset though, it is a reason that i may buy the game regardless of my intentions to actually play it.

Ummm HEadset plus SOcom Confrontation =$59.99, Headset Standalone=$59.99 ummmm now just think about what you said for a minute. I would much rather get a game plus the headset just to be able to play socom becuase as time goes on they will patch and fix the game and its not bad when you consider that you are technically getting either the headset or the game free however you want to look at it
