2004 is shaping up to be quite possibly what 2003 was supposed to be, which is the greatest year gamers have seen in a while. It started out with a bang right out of the gates with Ninja Gaiden, Team Ninja's Masterpiece that was actullay delayed from 2003. The games just kept coming from there on and as wind wind the year down that all too familiar feeling comes to mind, right babout this time of year: "How in the blue hell am I going to afford all of these games?" I'll tell you right now unless your rich or your parents spoil you it's not gonna happen. For me I have a real dilemma, I just went to Otakon in Baltimore then shot out to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and I also got engaged during this summer run and bought a new car, and now the holiday season hits. Luckily for me EBgames had a sweet trade in Promotion to help me out, but first I had to make decisions on what I wanted to purchase and what I would have to wait on. I chose Halo 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, Monster Hunter, and KOTOR 2. I chose to wait on Prince of Persia 2, Grand Theft Auto, Def Jam, Doom 3 (if it makes it) and Star Wars Battlefront. Next I took a long hard look at my backlog and decided to part with a few of the games that I purchased and it just didn't look like I would get around to them. Next stop EBgames, they had one of their the more you trade the more you save promos running so every game past two you trade in you get and extra 5 buck store credit, and the kicker was that there were no exclusions! So after trading I these games I had paid off Halo and a good bit of MGS 3 and I also pick up a copy of Silent Hill 3. I will be purchasing Monster Hunter Next Week and I have money down on KOTOR 2. So it looks like everything worked out for the holiday season Most likely I'll end up sneaking another game or two in this year, I already picked up Guilty Gear and Gungrave this week.
