I have never once thought to myself it's easier to move in UT3, that sounds odd to me.
Edit: now that I think about it that sounds like BS to me. Easier to move? what the hell? It's the same thing.

If you seriously believe that the movement in UT3 is not easier then you must not of played much UT2004. UT2004 is a LOT faster, with dodge jumps which UT3 doesn't contain. Faster movement = Harder to aim = more skill needed. Seriously go play some UT2004 and join a clan server or something, and you're see what i mean when you struggle to get even one kill. I never had that problem in UT3 (then again it's not like it has much clans, the game's almost dead)
First off, I will never struggle to get one kill in a UT game. No, I have not played UT04 in years, though. Felt the same to me. Easier to aim? Whatever. It plays like UT and I think *cough* sometimes fans of an older game will be down on a newer game because of little, tiny changes.Which is what I think the case is here. I still double jump off walls and crap in UT3.
UT3 is dead, though. However, I enjoy UT3 (for the most part) more. Same game slicker visuals.
No do not misunderstand me i do not look down on newer game's just cause there different, the reason i wasn't too fond of UT3 was cause it really lacked some serious polish and the game felt like a step backwards rather than a step forwards. I was really hyped for UT3.
As you said, you havn't played Ut04 in years, if you compare them side by side you will realise Ut04 is a lot faster, meaning it takes more skill to aim, that's pretty common knowledge. Faster target = Harder to shoot.
I also enjoyed UT3, but it lacked some new guns, and some new gamemodes to make it exciting and fresh. The graphics were amazing, however due to it lacking my favourite game mode (last man standing) i just couldn't really get into the game. I'm really hoping for a step forwards and seeing some new things in UT4 or whatever.
