[QUOTE="DanielDust"]They said from day one that the launch will be controlled, why would people that pre-order not listen to their "warning", would be a good question. First come first served.Lach0121

As long as when it shows up in the mail, I can install it, (re-activate my account or whatever) and I still get my color stone. Without having to have a 90+ minute phone conversation with Support, then I don't really see how it affects me very much at all.

Why are you talking about the color stone, didn't you get to see it in beta? (it looks terrible)

If it doesn't affect you why are you so worried about your lil stone? This thread is about Pre Orders and the lack of Grace Period given to customers because of shipping delays. Also the locking of your account on the 20th dec. with no cd key registered.

Release day delivery is not offered and was never offered for my order. I just looked and it still isn't offered. I agree they will lose money by making people who pre ordered the game mad and they will simply cancel orders. It's not rocket science. Looks like the old republic is off to a bumpy start already.

RonaldCSpeirs

Mine either and I'm a prime member. Many people on the official forums are already stating that they are canceling orders for the game.

Release day delievery is available for everyone on Amazon

It's your job to go in and change that order when it becomes available

Jaysonguy

It is not avaliable for everyone. You simply don't know what you're talking about.

The forums are down for me right now but all I can say is they are on fire with upset people.

EA/Bioware has plainly stated NO GRACE PERIOD. They will lock all accounts with no CD Key on the 20th.

Yes, they will lock accounts on the 20th if you do not have that cd key entered on your account. This thread is about some people not getting the game/cd key until after the 20th and EA/Bioware not giving a grace period to allow people to receive the physical copy of the game.

If you don't have a cd key entered on your account by the 20th they will lock your account.

[QUOTE="LUMIN4RY"]

Well with Amazon it goes like this...

I ordered (CE version)and registered my pre order code for SWTOR right when they became avaliable. I'm a prime member and took 1 day shipping.

Now Amazon says they aren't shipping until the 20th and I'll receive my copy on the 22nd (some people are getting them much later). People that ordered digital copies are safe... some will even be getting the physical game on or before the 20th. IT all depends where you live and what copy of the game you ordered. Amazon is blaming Bioware/EA for shipping and vice versa.

I think a good way to solve this if they are so worried about people playing for free for approximatley a week is just take it out of the free month that comes with the game... problem solved.

Elann2008

Why didn't select release date delivery? Was it not an option for the CE version? I don't get it. I pre-ordered the retail (physical) version 6 days ago and I was given the option to select "release date delivery." Unless this was changed recently that I don't know about? I didn't receive any email regarding this issue. Also, early access is a privilege. It has nothing to do with when you get the actual game and CD-key, whether it be on the 20th or the 25th. That goes for all games when you order physical. Maybe we should have ordered digital versions just be safe. I will consider it next time.

Like I said, release day delivery is not avaliable for everyone, it depends on the game you ordered and the location you live at.

For me it was never offered even though I pre ordered right away when it became avaliable. If you haven't checked your open orders lately on Amazon do it.

[QUOTE="LUMIN4RY"]

Most people aren't going to get the CE box until well after the 20th.

Jaysonguy

No, most will

With places like Amazon having release day delivery there's no excuse for most people not having the game on the 20th

You are talking about something you don't know, not everyone has the option to choose release day shipping. Because of the location you live at or the type of game you ordered CE etc.

With shipping it's all about location, it costs them money and they watch it very closely.

Sure you get early access but if you don't have your CD key (the key in the game box) registered by the 20th of Dec. your account will be locked (until you register that CD Key). Now Bioware/EA and the retailers are the ones who control ship dates of the games. Why punish pre order customers?

Most people aren't going to get the CE box until well after the 20th.

What are your opinions on them announcing that they won't be giving a grace period for people that haven't entered their CD Keys on or after the 20th of Dec. (Launch). Most people that have ordered the CE version physical copy (the only way to order the CE) of the game won't be receiving the game until well after the 20th.
