[QUOTE="2Chalupas"]PSN+ sucks if you just look at it for 1 week or even 1 month. But when you figure over the 15 months you get if you pay for a full year, it is pretty much a "can't lose" deal. It doesn't take long at all to get your money's worth through the additional sale discounts, or being able to play the freebie games/DLC's.vincent380
This. I agree 100%

i do not get this argument either. can you honestly say without plus you would even be remotely interested in most of the free and discounted stuff? how are you saving money you would not have spent otherwise. if you like plus that is fine im not trying to start anything just wondering why some people think plus is such a great deal.

[QUOTE="0Hamburgher"]what if 9 out of 10 games you get suck?DJ_Lae
SOL. Which is pretty much what the last year's worth of PS+ has been. We got great stuff like Stacking and Sam & Max, but PS Classic and Mini offerings were almost completely garbage, which is why I find people adding up the total of everything they've received and claiming that's how much they've saved to be kind of weird. No one would have bought half that stuff normally, and most of it is junk (including Qore and the themes, etc). Oddly enough the best aspect of PS+ is probably the discounts. They even gave a rather large discount on the PS3 warranty. So in that way paying for the service is kind of like buying one of those local coupon books - theoretically a ton of value, but almost nothing you'd actually use.

this guy gets it

If you can't find the 'Welcome Back Free Game 1 or 2' products, the list of available titles or a game you've selected, go to your XMB>PlayStation Network>Account Management>Transaction Management>Services List>SCEA Promotions to complete the process.
