For online games - It's fun to play even if youre terrible, if there is a chance of getting better. What's frustrating is trying to get into an online game thats been around for years, make it near impossible to try and catch up with the people who have been playing since release.

For offline... there's almost always a difficulty setting :D

I wouldn't worry to much about the scores. I get the feeling there isn't a scientific method to choosing weather a game gets a 6 or a 7, it seems more like a 'this game feels like a 7'. So yeah, it's going to be subjective.

I think the most helpful thing to do when your deciding if you want to try out a game is read a bunch of different reviews, both professional and user reviews, and ignore the score. Then figure out if it's something that appeals to you as a gamer.

I'm still surprised by the amount of people that haven't played LostOdysseyon the 360. That game is soooo good.

There are a ton of threads comparing Fallout vs. Oblivion. I don't really get it... aside from the graphics engine they arn't that similar, its not surprising you'd like one more than the other.

Not sure which game you were asking for about the length. Oblivion is a LONG game. The main quest is decent sized, but there's also the 4 different factions and their quests, two expansions, hundreds of NPC quests and loads of achievements, weapons and dungeons to explore. You could easily spend 100+ hours if you want to do everything. Fallout doesn't have as many NPC quests or factions, but I found exploring to be way more fun so I can see myself putting in just as much as time with this as in Oblivion. So far I'm about 60 hours into fallout, but only halfway through the main quests because I've done a bunch of side stuff.

For both games its up to you to decide which parts you want to play or if you want to do everything possible in the game. Put in as much or as little time as you want.

I don't know about Forbidden Siren, but Fatal Frame is a reallyyy interesting series on the ps2. The games are a little pricey because they're hard to find, but really worth it.

Also.. it is an older game. If you play an xbox game you can't really expect it to feel like it was meant for the 360.

Speaking of which, does any know if kotor is actually backwards compatible now? I heard that there was a ton of glitches when you tried to use it on a 360 that made it practically unplayable.

Pretty much all my friends are gamers.. I worked at GameStop for a long time and I still keep in touch with everyone I worked with. And 3/4 of the people I know play WoW. I date gamers exclusively, too:P

None of them go on this forum though.

I can't believe you put Princess Peach up there. All she does is sit around all day until she gets kidnapped, and then wait around for some guy to rescue her. Laaaame.

I think the most annoying enemies are ones that use the exact same model of an enemy you were fighting 20 levels ago... only in a different color.

I played Oblivion when it first came o and LOVED it. Spent hours and hours with it. Playing Fallout made me want to try it again, so i picked up a copy and tried to get into it. Now that I've played fallout, I'm spoiled. The combat is lackluster and I keep getting frustrated with the leveling system. If you haven't played Fallout, you can play Oblivion and really appreciate it. If you have played it, it's very obvious this game is older.
