A single 9800 GTX will most liekly beat out a 8800 GTX in SLi. This has been repeated amongst the nvidias 6xxx and 7xxx series.

Look,

8800GTX beats 7950GX2

I've been planing to build a new PC, and planned on buying my video card last(January-Febuaryish). I had planned toput in an 8800gt, then in a month or two a second one. But should I just wait until the next gen cards?

I just dont want the current cards if they cant max all games out(Crysis. I'm planning to buy a 680i ASUS board for about 2 hundred bucks, and already have my 610 watt SLI PSU.

Yes, 8800GT's in SLi will beat out the GeForce 9 Series in performance (if the game supports SLi). If not, then the GeForce 9 Series will come on top.

Dumbest thing posted on here in a long long time

I didn't mean every card in the 9 series, maybe the low end portion of the series. Idiot.

LOL,

Someone can get 2x8800GT, do you think he will go for a next generation Med-end card ???

Your Imagination = 0

First of all, if you read his post (his first one) he states that he is thinking about getting an 8800GT, not 8800GT's SLi'ed (since he was probably thinking if the single card wasn't enough, he'd upgrade to SLi them). If he bought that type of power supply and is even considering the 8800GT over an 8800GTX Ultra, I don't think he would be able to afford, nor would he want to purchase the new cards, since they wiill obviously cost more than the 8800GT's. Idiot.

He planed to get 1 8800GT & then 1 or 2 months he will buy the second one.

"I had planned toput in an 8800gt, then in a month or two a second one."

He already has a power supply (610W SLI) & it can do 8800SLI. 2 8800GTs will cost more than 500$ (maybe ~500$).

Sure they will cost more than 2 8800GTs (about 100-150$, maybe less) but the performence ??? & his power supply is enough for a 9800GTX

Alright? If he decided to get the eVGA 8800GT's then what? I don't know..maybe STEP-UP! Your imagination = 0.

Lol, which brand is upto him.

Stay in the topic (don't go any where else  )

I have an AMD X2 3800 and it is perfect for what i need. it loads games and programs up really fast and when i ALT/TAB out ofprograms and gamesit is instant andi do not have to wait at all. So it is fine for me.hoola

I guess that you are using 2GB of RAM.

If so, remove 1 stick & look it again (ALT + TAB).
