Pretty good board. Which processor you are going to buy?

Both will work @ 16x speed bcoz the motherboard supports both PCI-E 16X.

Don't upgrade this. Bcoz those parts are very OLD & if you buy those parts, you won't be able to put them in your new one.

(Buy a HDD or something like that if you want)

It will down-clock (automatically) the fastest one to the lowest one.

(BFG 550MHz & EVGA 500MHz, both will work @ 500MHz)

Before this you must have a SLi motherboard

[QUOTE="LahiruD"][QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="stu_godd"]

[QUOTE="rudyroundhead"]Sorry if I am misunderstanding your specs as you typed then but you have question marks next to your processor. Are you saying you aren't sure if it's a dual core processor or not? If it isn't a dual core processor then a single core at 2.8ghz is your problem. If it is a dual core processor then I am not sure what is wrong.sSubZerOo

wen i turn my computer on it says i have 2 cores running at 2.8ghz .but every one says thatmycpuis crap.i thought it was good (2.8 x 2.8 = 5.6and 5.6 = good ) so iwas confused toweather it was or not

it says i have 2 cores running at 2.8ghz does that mean 2 x 2.8 or 2 x 1.4??

Secondly is there even a Core 2 duo that has stock speeds that high?

Core 2 Duo E6850 = 3GHz

Yes but there is not a single chip out on the market that is clocked specifically at 2.8 ghz for a core 2 duo or quad.. it either goes from 2.66ghz or it jumps past 2.8 and the next model is 3.0 ghz. So he definitly does have a aging pentium 4 procesor, if his processor is at stock speeds.

Damn, sorry about that. my bad.
