NES, N64, Virtual Boy, GB, GBA, Wii, DS, and Now Angry Birds. Everytime I try to think of a reason to like this guy, he gets involved or does something stupid.

Most likely a lot of you in this thread magically became GC fans after the Wii came out, so this thread seems odd to me.

They have been doing this for a long time. They have also been going the Digimon route.

Our friends over at ign discovered this little tidbit early today...Hopefully it is a true sequal to 3....:)

charizard1605

A.... sequel? huh ?:| a mario platformer with a sequel? o.O there's not even a story.

Super Mario Galaxy 2, meet Joedgabe. Joedgabe, Super Mario Galaxy 2. I get the feeling you two will get along just fine.

Charzard proves you don't need a story to have an expansion pack.

Gears of War 2 6.47 million - Gears of War 3 5.93 million DECLINE

Forza 3 5.05 million - Forza 4 2.12 million DECLINE

Uh oh, all of the Xbox 360 exclusives are... DECLINING! Less sales, no one wants them anymore!

Lol, the thought process that went on in Halo Icon's brain when writing this thread must have been hilarious. Who in their right mind would have thought this thread was a good idea with any rational thought before pressing "submit"?

Yet Halo 3 has sold more than any PS3 exclusive yet. Hell a PS3 exclusive haven't even broken 10 million copies sold yet. Sony is doomed.

It's not fair to use that because Halo was basically one of the only 5 franchises bringing the XBOX 1 any brand recgonition which it didn;t have until about two years of this current gen. Use new Ips instead.

Usually if a game is quality, its sequel will at least attract the same amount of sales, if not more. This just doesn't happen with PS3 IPs.

RR360DD

It has sometimes uncharted 2 sold more than 1 but not 3, god of war 3 sold more than 2,1. Halo 3 sold more than odst and reach so drops in sales can happen to any quality series.

GoW 3 outsold the previous 2 by barely anything. Not worth mentioning, the series has pretty much be stagnant.

ODST was an expansion, and Reach a prequal. Halo 4, a numbered sequel, will surpass Halo 3 in sales.

The BS Meter has destroyed the moon sir.

TLHBO Get owned. The 360 has no games.

And us PS3 fans are here to put down our many games worth playing to make fun of Xbox 360 fans because they aren't exciting enough to play and we find more excitement making fun of Xbox fans and their lack of games!!! Wait... that wasn't in the script.

Great if true. We need to return to the gaming roots, not to "progress" into "cinematic" crap.

nameless12345
No we need to make "Progress" Cinematic route is"Returning" Cinematic gaming died before like 3D did, we haven't progressed at all because both returned. Also stop with the nostalgia, we do not need to go anymore backwards than we already are.

What great PS1 games don't hold up? And how many of these games truly "held up" when they were released? Final Fantasy VII was always a graphical mishmash of realistic and cartoonish design, for example.

Emerald_Warrior

But Final Fantasy VII however, never looked good in the first place compared to many games at the time. Not many Rpgs on the PSX J influenced looked that good.

Pffft...what?! Are you kidding me? The CGI cutscenes were absolutely jaw-droppingly astonishing to behold at the time of release. I'm not a JRPG fan, and I played through the game just to see the next great CGI scene.

No they were not. The only way that would impress anybody is if they restricted their gaming to only mainstream SNES and GEN games and just jumped onto mainstream PS games with no other or many non-mainstream games/consoles in between. It's not amazing at all, that's all they used for the ads anyway, FMVs looked better, the CGI was floaty, unattached, pixellated, and static, and could mess with your TV screen in some cases causing random flashes in some cases. Also, the whole rest of the game was a large failure in the graphics department. What do you think the CGI was there for? Fun? It was there to cover up the fact the rest of the game looks like a$s even though the CGI also looked like ass, and many games around the same time and before looked much better. It's called mainstream gaming, the hype was there so you made yourself believe it was amazing bcause you were riding the hype train.
