Recently I have become interested in replacing my 512MB 8600 GTS with the Radeon 4850. For the price it looks like the best bang for the buck, but I do have one concern before I seal the deal. I have read that some people have experienced problems with Unreal Tournament 2004 while using this card. As this is one of my favorite games, this would be a deal breaker for me. Has anyone experienced this issue? And if so, to what extent does this problem hinder the gameplay?

Thanks in advance!

I have been recently, but once school starts again I'll have to wait until the afternoon to get my gaming in.

It's rare that a JRPG comes to the PC so I think I'll at least check it out. Hopefully the combat system is a little more like Crisis Core than the standard turn-based gameplay.

The only compatibility issues I've experienced with Vista are do to it bein 64-bit. Personally, I'd choose Vista over XP.

I love the irony that a company not wanting to spend money on upgrading for a new OS is somehow an excuse to bash that OS when it applies to Vista, and yet we do not apply this logic to Mac OS.

Most companies use old tech, of course they won't want to run Vista. That's not to say Vista isn't good, it has become my main OS.

Yeah, and the PC is dying too. >_>

Sure there has been a dry spell of games, but don't count the PSP out just yet. Hopefully with the increase in Japanese sales we will see an increase in the number of games coming out.

I'm taking a trip to Chicago soon and this seems like the perfect way to waste time on the road. Can't wait!

In general I think that the DC heroes are a lot harder to make games for. Case in point would be Green Lantern. His ring allsfor limitless possibities, how would you go about reproducing that in a game? What about Flash? Completely any objective at his speed would be incredibly difficult, as the 3D Sonic games have taught us, speed is best left to 2D.

Another large contirbution would be the Marvel movies. Marvel releases far more movies than DC does. In my opinion this is because Marvel characters generally aren't your standard super hero. I think that makes it much easier for them to reach mass appeal.

Personally, I'd like some good DC games but I'd rather see them produce some more movies. After all, I like DC more than I like Marvel.

Aiming with the face buttons is very hard to get used to. It's best to switch the aiming to the analog stick like others have suggested. My best experience with a FPS on the PSP has been Medal of Honor Heroes 2 using the "Elite" control scheme. Good game.
