If I had a Wii.... (#6)

... What new VC game would I buy?

My choice this week is Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64. I have never played any of the Paper Mario games but they look fun to play.

The other games realsed this week are Balloon Fight for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Silent Debuggers for the TurboGraphix16. I already have Balloon Fight on Animal Crossing. And I can't really say anything about this game because I watched a video of it and I had no idea what was going on.

... What new Virtual Console game would I buy?

My choice is Mach Rider for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I have never played the game, but it looks the best out of all of the new releases this week.

Air "Zonk" is another shoot-em-up on the TurboGrafix16. Air "Zonk" is a spin off of the Bonk games, so fans of that series, and/or fans of shoot-em ups on the TurboGraphix16 would most likely want to buy this game.

Yoshi is a puzzle game that was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System.

What new Virtual Console game would I buy?

My choice this week is Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Despite being Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic with Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool, compared to the other choices, this is the best game. At least this means Super Mario Bros. 3 will be released on the Virtual Console sometime soon.

Dragon Spirit is one of the many Shoot-em-ups that are on the TurboGraphix16, it looks ok, but (if I had a Wii) I wouldn't be willing to pay 600 Wii points for it.

I have never played any of the Ecco the Dolphin games, but the game dosn't look fun or worth 800 Wii Points.

What new Virtual Console game would I buy?

My pick for this week is Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. I've played Street Fighter II Turbo an emulator, but when you fight someone you are literally fighting yourself, which is annoying. Although I'll always like Mortal Kombat better, this game looks cool, it has more characters than Street Fighter II.

F-Zero X looks ok, but I wouldn't be willing to pay 1000 Wii points for it. If you like racing games, then you might be willing to, but the only racing game on the Virtual Console game I would buy would be Mario Kart 64.

And China Warrior, I can't say anything about this game, because I couldn't find a video of it.

P.S. I don't own a Wii.

As a golfer, I rarley ever watch golf on TV. Also, I have only played one golf video game in my life (it was the Golf NES game on Animal Crossing). So, I chose NES Open Tournament Golf for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

The Olympic Tg16 game looked too much likea crappy Genesis Olympic game that I own. And Bloody Wolf for the Tg16 looked like a copy of Contra.

Sonic games on the Gamecube...

... have this in the instuction booklet: "Thank you for purchasing (whatever Sonic game for Gameube it is, Sonic Gems Collection, Sonic Riders, Shadow The Hedgehog, etc.). Please note that this software is designed for use with Nintendo Gamecube. Be sure to read this intruction booklet thoroughly before you start playing".

I've looked at some of my other Gamecube games, and this is not on there.

Is this just for Sonic games, or for any game made by Sega for last-gen consoles (PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube) and current-gen consoles? Is this message also for portable Sonic games (Sonic Rush, Sonic Advance sereis(sp), Sonic Rivals, Sonic Pinball Party, etc.)?

If anybody knows an answer write it in the comments of this blog.

Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Sonic Adventure DX....

Sonic Adventure 2 was ported to the Nintendo Gamecube before Sonic Adventure was.

And, thinking about it now, it confuses me, why would Sega port Sonic Adventure 2 before Sonic Adventure?

If anybody knows why Sega chose to port Sonic Adventure 2 to the Gamecubebefore the best selling game on the Sega Dreamcast (Sonic Adventure), say it in the comments of this blog.
