WAIT WAIT WAIT. Has anybody seen the post where he states that he has an AMD Athlon 2200? Intel CPUs are TOTALLY out of the question.

[QUOTE="LightSoulBlue"]I know their lesser wattaged models are modular, but I really wish their 750W model was modular!ch5richards

They do have a 1000w modular.

What all do you plan on running. The HX620 is one powerful 620w PSU. It can put out 600w on the 12v rails.

Well, it's for a friend who wants to run Crossfire in the future and he's looking for something a little cheaper than Corsair's 1000W modular PSU.

[QUOTE="LightSoulBlue"][QUOTE="Orrendamente"]

[QUOTE="artiedeadat40"]Im sure vista really runs fast with a gb of ram.mastershake575

It's fine if your not a gamer or a power user.

Well, even for some gaming it's fine actually. I can run HL2 and the expansions and Orange Box and what have you and max them out on1024x1280 - no joke!

Why did you put no joke ? The orange box is very easy to max, ive even heard people running the game on high with the old ati 9800xt

To give an example - one of many.

Getting back on topic! Does anyone have any other advice for me?

Ok, before this turns into an ATI vs Nvidia topic, YES the card is fine for the money you're spending.

It does, actually. I'm even running Aero with a Radeon X300! Any other rumors that I should dispell about Vista?

Any reason for choosing that case in particular? Also, I, and others, I'd think, would recommend that you purchase a Radeon HD 4870 for the same price you'd get that 3870x2.
