I've been searching for a laptop for college, and so far it has been very hard.

First, All of the stores and companies that sell laptops are forcing you to buy a system with Vista on it. I personally don't want to make the switch, because even though XP is old, it is a good (not secure) system.

Second, the Vista systems wouldn't be so bad if they would include the minimum amount of recommended ram to run Vista. I don't understand why they only put 512 MB in these computers when they know Vista won't run properly.

Third, they offer you diffent cpus' with only a slight decimal difference, but don't tell you what the difference is.

Finally, the prices are too unbalanced, because you can build a laptop on one part of a site, but if you start off with a different configuration, but change the options to the options you selected in the original configuration, then you end up with two different prices.

I'm really stressing out over this, and I really need help finding a suitable laptop that is not expensive.  Can someone help me?

Why is it that everyone is saying DiRT is so good? I mean, the graphics are awesome, and the damage modeling is beyond incredible, and the interface is cool, but those items don't make the game.

I have seen other people comment on my next point which is that, IMO, the controls are horrible. When you even slightly touch the contols the car slides like the back wheels aren't even connected to the ground.

Don't say that I don't like it because i didn't like Rallisport Challenge 2, because that is one of my favorite games, but the controls in Rallisport Challenge 2 were much better than this and the execution was flawless.

I don't understand this current trend of hyping a game up to celebrity status when the graphics are great and the controls are horrible, or when a game plays exactly the same as the overhyped version before, but it really needs to stop.

You just made yourself look silly, because you have to enter all codes in the redeem code form on marketplace. It dosen't matter if you have the game or not.

Thats neat. On the marketplace tab? Then it automatically unlocks whatever that code is for whenever you boot up the game? :shock:
