Can't wait for this game it looks awesome just like the others in the series. I will agree with those out there that the background music in this video wasn't all that great but other than that feel free to take your whining and complaining about the XIII saga to your blog or somewhere else. If you don't like the saga then don't play or comment on it :P
This game and Smash are the only reasons I'd get a Wii U though I'd really love to see this ported to PS4/X1 in the future after its released for Wii U. That seems really unlikely though...
EA has had a lot of problems over the years but throughout all their fumbles I've enjoyed quite a few of their games, certainly less recently and none of those under major scrutiny like SimCity. The only thing that bugged me in this was the LGBT complaints from people. Get over your issues and let players make LGBT characters if they want to. Don't be harassing EA about that option and simply don't make your character that way if you have an issue. Intolerant bigots.
@Shanks_D_Chop @Lightning__Evil I'd say so. I bought the 3DS specifically for 3 games, this is one of those 3. I also bought one for RE:Revelations and Kingdom Hearts 3D. In all honestly though I would say Awakening is the best 3DS game I own.
I fully agree with the idea of perma-death in games and enjoy the Fire Emblem series. I actually just finished my second playthrough of Awakening about an hour ago. The ability in Awakening to choose whether or not to have perma-death on seems almost like a disservice to a series that has always featured perma-death and not to mention the emotional weight those deaths can carry. Despite that I play with perma-death on and Awakening is certainly a game to be played and not overlooked.
I agree on these issues. Games should strive to better represent all types of people in the world including those who are gay or transgender. Personally I didn't come to terms with the fact that I was gay until sometime within the last year. I struggled with that for most of my whole life before that point and most people don't really understand what any of that is like. The only game I can thing of recently that portrayed a gay character half decently was Steve Cortez in Mass Effect 3. I think that Bioware has done a good job of creating characters "open" to being gay, and even though Cortez is only gay, I feel like there haven't been any truly gay or transgender characters. Being fully fleshed out and given equal or main attention from the player.
