"For the IP to evolve and provide a new experience within the Dark Souls world the new wind from directors Shibuya and Tanimura is key to providing players with a brand new Dark Souls experience. In order to maintain expectations and satisfaction and the rewards players experience this was the time to bring in new characteristics and tastes of the directors for the series to continue evolving."-Shibuya talks about "limiting players options for the early portion of the game, making it simpler to understand new concepts. Then, after a certain amount of time has elapsed, they will suddenly experience the true dark souls experience"Thefatness16That first bit is the opposite of what I want to hear. That second bit, if executed properly, just means a good tutorial area. Which isn't always bad. Overall, I'm not having high expectations.

A little banter and it all goes to sh!t.clyde46It went to sh*t the second somebody mentioned piracy.
After playing a violent video game, we found that people expect others to behave aggressively. That expectation may make them more defensive and more likely to respond with aggression themselves, as we saw in this study and in other studies we have conducted.ArticleThat first part might be true, but the latter which is actually about the aggression in the players is mostly speculation only backed up by a sample of 70 people who all fall in roughly the same category.
[QUOTE="Loegi"][QUOTE="DontGetBigIdeas"]That isn't proof, and like he said himself, the pirate bay isn't accurate at all for this game especially. What exactly are you arguing. That this game wasn't attacked by piracy, or his claim of how many times it was pirated? That he's making baseless claims. Like almost every article about piracy. The piracy of Hotline: Miami is well known. The devs even went to the Pirate Bay and provided a patched version because they didn't want people to play a bugged one that was uploaded.

[QUOTE="Loegi"]No proof, he doesn't even seem annoyed, and he even says it himself that the source he's claiming isn't accurate.DontGetBigIdeas
