[QUOTE="Lokantis"][QUOTE="StrawberryHill"]That's a difficult question to answer. In short, I'm going to say I'm against cloning humans because I can see human clones being abused. Although they would be sentient beings, I think many people would argue that they are not fully human because they are replicas, and therefore, there would be no harm in doing painful experiments on them. In other words, they would be treated as chattle and ultimately expendable. I think cloning human beings would turn out to be a potentially dangerous enterprise. StrawberryHill
But that would be against human rights. Clones are still humans and they would still have all the rights and responsibilities listed in laws and constitutuion. Any serious offense or discrimination against them would be considered racism. Same as it was with african americans. At first they were slaves but with time, people realized that they are humans too.
You cannot gaurantee that. You are speculating, just as I am. I am just stating that there is a great chance of abuse. And why wouldn't there be? Putting the humane treatment of human clones aside, there is another significant danter: Every great scientific achievement has founds it's way into implementation by military organizations.
So they will be mostly recruiting clones in the army. But even the military cannot just massively clone humans to make them soldiers. They would still have to go through the voluntary recruiting process because clones would still be considered normal humans.
