Its really sad to see the top selling games are a bunch of complete and uter garbage. Not one game(if you can even call most of those games) listed there other than MW2 is even worth renting. Nintendo has destroyed the gaming industry with there crap while excellent games suffer. I dont know how any one who bought any of those titles can call themselves gamers(other than MW2). Edit: ODST, i did not see that one. I just rented it and will see if its any good.djsifer01
But seriously, Nintendo were the ones who revived video gaming with Mario, and made it popular amongst those like you who call themselves 'hardcore gamers'. Give credit where it is due. Now they are extending even further then that to bring non-gamers and casuals to gaming, giving it more life. You say they destroyed gaming? How? They made the industry grow exponentially, with the other two following suit with their motion controls, which is likely to bring in even more non-gamers. How could you possibly think they're destroying gaming?
And the lems will think he is right by ignoring the whole north America only thing lol. Gaming is not just on this one continent. It was the same in nov. When sys wars lems had a field day when they outsold ps3 by 110k in US ( but they neglected the rest of the world) and in reality ps3 out sells worldwide. Not that I care about sales I just care about the TRUTH.Midnightshade29
Obviously you do care about sales. We all care about sales, even if its in it most basic form of care. It's funny, you talk about looking at the bigger picture to show that Sony is winning WW for 2009, but you ignore the even bigger picture that Wii is dominating in 1st place. Tell me, why do you care so much about second place? Wii is first, just let this petty rivalry between 360 and PS3 sales go. Return to arguing about which system has the better games/online etc because placing so much weight on second place is ridiculous.
Everquest was the first popular 3D MMORPG, and it's still being played 10 years after it's release. It was the first MMORPG to have weddings, funerals, and birthday party's through the actual interface. The players made the world their reality EQ1 was so good, that because so many people were playing over 20 hours a day, the game became a psycological hazard in many countries. No game has ever done that before.rageofstreets
Your first point I suppose is valid. I'd agree with that, however your second point has nothing at all to do with how we play games today. And your last point really doesn't help your case, if anything it makes it even worse. Is turning people into basement dwellers who don't leave their house for days on end due to their addiction supposed to be a good thing? Because thats what you're making it to sound like.
