Umbrella Chronicals - RE

I have been hunting RE: UC for sometime on the shelves of Blockbuster. I finally got to it before some other stunted kid got it the other day and finally got around to find the appropiate time to play it. Now I am going to write a full review after I have beaten it, which may take longer than I may have thought. I spend about 20-30 minutes before I go to bed to play it so I have about 2 hours dedicated to the game and I have just gotten about half way through the First Resident Evil.

The game recieved a 7.0, which I suppose is accurate in ratio to it's lead competitor, House of the Dead 2 & 3 which recieved a 6.0. I however feel comfortable to rate it at this point to be an 8.5. I have seen screens of the game further into it and it really does seem more interesting than where I am now.

I have only played the first, second, and fourth resident evil. No specials, no prologues, no extras. I lost faith in the game when Nemesis made it to the streets, but I still enjoyed the online Fan-Fic RP and the summary of the games. The gameplay just died out for me, I really blame Dino-Crisis.

When I first heard of the game it was when I was playing House of the Dead with my older brother at his place in Cali and his wife had mentioned RE: UC. I had been on the search for it since, however, I didn't know the game treked through so much. It starts with the prologue to the first game, which always had my Hottie-Star girl from 1997 (I remember the IRL models posing at the opening sequence of the PS game), Rebecca.

The game adds some great effects to your usual Lite Arcade gaming. You get about 2-5 Degree control of view, which angles to about 1-3 meters of controlled view. You also can pick up items, destroy objects to find hidden items, and upgrade your items. Another great pick up is the weak points, which can take out Zombified creatures in one or two hits, and very neccesary for bosses. The game isn't I WANT YOUR EFFING QUARTERS GAMEPLAY. It's difficult when it needs to be and I have only died twice during my game time.

You have unlimited ammo with your hand gun which ultimately can be very useless against bosses deeper into the game, but do the job for taking out your Zombie's legs, knees, and head pieces. RE: UC take the anti-alias and contrast graphics to the edge for the wii, screenshots really don't do it justice. The old Sony-Graphical 3d model engine is re-invented for the game, not giving you the full edge of the wii during the FMV's, however it brings back the feel of RE's look.

I found two things I wish they changed in the game. Music and Customizing. The Music is extremely dry and more of an ambient noise. You also can customize your weapon which as far as I can tell only maximizes your weapons payload. Everything else in the game is truely superb. The graphics are great, the levels are well desgined and hardly repetative. You take on FROM THE GAME'S levels and enemies. The voice acting is GREAT! I mean, seriously, play HoD 2&3 and you will think movie stars are playing in the game.

If you own a wii and a Lite Gun (I use my perfect Shot, utilizing the Flashlight stabalization hold) you must get this game. It's worth every dollar. If you're a RE fan, you seriously need this game. This game truely made up for Resident Evil Extinction (Perhaps the only B movie to make the theatres).

48 hours

Was a great movie, crap, now that I think about it I wanna go get it.

Anyhow, I was originally suspended 24 hours for several reports of Racism, not too sure how I got hit on Racism to the extreme that GS and it's members hit me on, but it led to my actual sensible article being trashed and the one which I thought was going to get me banned; nothing happened. SoI responded to GS Moderation team, not really sure who I was talking too, but my words got me another 24 hours, but really, all I wanted was a copy paste of my Japanime article back. So I thought I wouldn't push it and deal with the 48 hours.

In that time, I got moderated at least 10 times, but nothing really happened out of that. Oh! And THE COWBOYS WON THEIR FIRST REGULAR SEASON GAME. Not sure if anyone I know on here is in to football, but it's pretty much priority in my life. One of the only things that can take me from the sticks.

Anyways, I doubt anyone was wondering what happened. But if you were! Kyle got into a little bit of trouble, but I seriously think I won the arguement with GS. Because they just decided to suspend me again. And it was well written, I won't post it because knowing one of you, you'll request a moderation.

WTF is a Bakugan? And 400 dollars IN YOUR FACE!

Pure business today gentlemen and ladies. I have recently got onto Ebay for the first time this year, making my 6th account due to lacking the standards in memory to remember my old account. I then checked my Paypal, turns out I have 400+ in my Paypal account. The great thing about time is that it flies and makes things shiney or brazen, not dull, dull is for you pescimistic people. Anyhow, I haven't touched PayPal in over like 2 years. So this money is like FREE MONEY.

I never said MAN I WISH I HAD 400 DOLLARS! Because I never needed extra earnings. So I decided I was going to spend this money ASAP! So I began looking through my extensive comic book collection, which is pretty weak and decided I would begin my hard charge into the Late Silver and Bronze age of comics (1964-85). The turn out was great.

I won't bore details with everything I got, but the big hitters are: ULTRON'S FIRST APPEARANCE IN AVENGER'S #54, THE DAY GWEN STACEY DIED, AVENGERS UNASSORTED 12-50 (only like 22 from those), WOLVERINE Volume 2 (1986-2003) issues 1-170 PLUS! Wolverine Annuals, and Origins originals. And NICK FURY'S/SGT FURY'S HOWLING COMMANDO'S 1-30. I got a lot more. All of it cost less than 250. The standard I set for early estimated appraisal is close to 6000. I will appraise them personally when I get them.

So I had some money left and I picked up my lil brothers from school and in the backseat they were all like GATE CARD SET! And I was like STFU BACK THAR! And they did... But I really wanted to hear what they were going on about.

Turns out they been playing some Wapanese game called Bakugan. Now, I utterly hate this game, butthese kids are like my kids and I hope they get the same astute interests that I had their age. I of course played MtG since 3rd edition, Pokemon until Safari, some Hack, some DBZ, and other little shameless card games. The kids inheirted all my crap when I turned of age and they just sorta collected them and never played the game. It really pissed me off.

So to see them playing a game that required no cords and all paper made me smile a bit. So I had them teach me the game so I could utterly beat them. They didn't have everything they needed so I couldn't do it, but I learned the game. I went online to read the game rules, they were about 35% WRONG. So I read more about it and decided a strategy (what strategy is available for the 5+ game) and began buying the best pieces on Ebay.

I really hate the concept of the game, marbles with cards, but it's something I can actually do without a television with the boys. Anyone play this effing game?

Update of past weeks: Game Reviews

Okay, these reviews will probably come to no use to anyone because I basically have spent off and on time playing games that have been out, replaced, and even Game of the Year editions may have come out.

Now to start with, the reason I have been gone is simple, trying to find a better job, creating networks, getting used to the new state, wondering why I made a MySpace, and playing video games on the clearance rack.

So to avoid writing lengthy and pointless reviews on these games, I will just give as short as possible details on them. The list include:

Iron Man, Army of Two, Ninja Gaiden II, BattleField II, and the only one not XBOX-360; House of the Dead II & III for Wii. Along with supplements of Perfect Shot and the Zapper.

IRON MAN: 5.5

I bought Iron Man, yes, laugh it up. I thought maybe it was like Spider-Man with a jet pack and missiles. Turns out it's like Judge Dredd (SNES) turned into a 3D sh!tasm. The game is a level based game where you earn credits for completing missions and side missions. The Tutorial in the game is long and uneeded, as if the game is complicated, that follows into an assortment of levels that have no degree of difficulty. Some are really easy, some are incredibly hard. Now the reason it is hard is because it's like playing Galaga. No matter how good you are, the amount of aliens and lasers that come down allow no escape. The controls are simple and really all you need to do is learn how to strafe, lock on, and shoot all at once and you can beat the game. The game's good parts were the HUD. It was a cool idea to be inside the suit of Iron Man and controlling the aspects of the suit, but they are very stunted and become more so annoying. Don't buy, don't rent.

Army of Two: 8.0

I rented Army of Two. I beat it with ease on Medium, and beat it the next day on Hard to aquire all the weapons. I played it on Medium with my older brother, who was believe it or not, worst than the AI. So playing on Hard was actually a walk in the park. The Gamespot's review on AoT was very good. The AI is limited and dumb, however the aggro effect on the shooter could charm the worst of the WoW-Douches. I very much enjoyed 85% of the game. The good is simple, it's a fiesty shooter that brings back many Gears of War effects, graphics are great, the guns are great, upgrades are great, and pimping out a weapon is actually cool and not MTV aka LAME. The bad? You cannot sprint, the AI will drag you through gun fire and to the enemy (But hey, it's the only game that has an AI that can do that for you - it's a start?) The enemy AI is actually really effing smart aside from being blind when Aggro is in full effect. They will flank you, come behind you, and eff you up. They also are excellent shots. They can head shot you with a shotgun from across the field. The aggrivation effect is high, but nothing compared to Halo's effects.

Ninja Gaiden II: 7.8

I rented this one. It was a good play for the 48 hours I kept it. The good? Every swing with your weapon can bludgeon or lop off a limb. If they lose a set of limbs you can finish them with a gorey decapitation sequence. The game is smooth and the graphics are pretty good. The bad? It's still ninja gaiden. They don't put much into account for gameplay and how game's have evolved into something less linear. It's very linear and plays like Devil May Cry I and II. Basically like Ninja Gaiden. The music is annoying as ever. Camera as always: needs work.

Battlefield II: 8.0

I bought this and have played it for the first two days I had it. I have not played it since. The game is the best and worst of the series. Worst? Because the weapons are so unrealistic. I am not sure if I am just horrible at the game (Even though I finish in the top 4 of the entire game (top two in team)(Usually top in squad)) but my stock assault rifles require nearly the entire magazine to take down a fool, even with head shots. You cannot go prone either, so snipers look like complete retards. I use the m48 sniper rifle mainly and the sniper rifle has improved greatly. The gravity effects require good sniping calculations. Motion sensors are pretty sweet too. The gameplay is very limited and get's boring quickly. The best part? The shotgun acts like a shotgun and the fact you can blast down walls. I would suggest people to rent and wait for it to go down to 25 bucks used.

House of the Dead I & II: 8.5

What 's not to like? You and your buddy can whack zombies all night long and it costs you nothing. House of the Dead is a great series of games, where each one allows more limb lopping than the last. The game doesn't really get boring either. I find myself holding my perfect shot in bed and shooting at the TV at who I wanna destroy on the tele. So I put in House of the Dead and go at it for a bit. It's worth the 30 bucks new, the Zapper comes with a game, and the perfect shot, 5 bucks cheaper can be used with other games. House of the dead has nothing bad about it, except for me. I have yet to play with anyone good at these games so I usually ask them to gtfo so I can beat it by myself.

Wii Zapper: 9.3

The zapper holds like no other gun. This is not a compliment. The good part? Well for those who like the linear effect of the sub-machine gun like hold will enjoy it. It also comes with a game that could have easily been sold for 20-30 bucks. Link's Crossbow training is great fun, especially if you're 21+ and have some drinks (yes I am responsible). The zapper is good, but I simply don't like it to the perfect shot. Why a high score? Because, it does it's job near perfectly.

Wii Perfect Shot: 10.0

Like in the name, it's perfect. It has a great hold to it and plays great. It's 5 bucks cheaper than the other gun. I love the Wii, I remember when guns cost 30-50 bucks. The Wii makes the controller into a gun, simply great. I also have played with Red Steal with the gun and the gun detatches very fast (Unlike the Zapper which is a hassle) so you can switch to sword mode quickly. If you got gun games both Arcade and FPS, get this, it's awesome.

X-box Live

I've been gone a while because I've been busy excelling my MySQL and C++ skills as well as moving over 1k pounds of my stuff across the US from VA to CO. So I am not in the lovely Colorado and I have finally gotten something I never had and have been wanting. X-Box Live. I mainly just play CoD4, but the idiots seriously bother me to a point where I'd rather deal with them in Halo 3 or Rock Band. So if you play anything, add me on 'LotsOfGrenades'. I play off and on throughout the day when I am not working. Anyhow, I am back now.

And PS: Guitar Hero Aerosmith is the worst game ever.

On Youtube

Hey guys, I am now on YouTube. I made two videos years ago and nerds liked it, so I decided to publish them and also publish another one. They're not great, or even good. But yea. A bit of me and the guy I am.

Manning Up (Oblivion): Includes Horse Fights

Moseley's Def on Man Up: Doing something that will cause you or (preferably) another immense amount of pain, discomfort, or surrounding viewers/opposers/allies injuries. Manning up can also cause all those formerly mentioned 'hard-ons' and moments of homosexual desires to the manner up.

Now that we know what I am talking about, I have spent the past four days decimating Oblivion. When I say Decimate I mean completely avoid the main story line and complete all the side quests. I have completed all factions and 75% of the misc quests and 25% of the freeforms. The thing that really matters is I am maxed out in the factions, level 20, and have insane gear with a feather of 700+ lbs. For those of you who have not played this game - bugger off and go play on gaia-forums you weeabo.

Anywho - when you complete the factions you get good deals. The first I did was the mage's faction, took about 7 hours to get everything done and loot it all. I didn't care much, but it was a pretty epic ending and probably the best ending out of all the factions, although Thieves does compete, but in support to Elder Scrolls, Mage's brought back Dagger-fall's baddie and you get to kill him (again). You get your own crib, full command over newbish and vet mages as well as a per-en infitium mage henchmen (one per use). Granted, they usually kill themselves by running over traps or just going head first into battle, it's still sweet for a superior mage (myself) to have a buffer.

To describe my character, he is my first guy I have ever spent over two hours as. I regret my building, but he has all mage abilities minus alchemy and some other one, and I replaced it with Security (which is useless since I have unlock anything within 50 ft with alteration) and sneak, which is alright, but with my stealth gear plus +30 sneak for 10 second resto spell, it becomes obsolete, so my MAN UP for mages is drop something for resto, because fortifying yourself is effing awesome. Other than that my guy is all about Agil/Will/Pers. Intel is leading otherwise, but my will is usually around 120-150 with all procs and enchants on. So needless to say I gain about 10 mana a second on average.

After I maged it up I went fighters. I dragged my mage around for a few missions, but the moron would ruin my sneak attacks, so I stopped bugging the farm for fresh meat. The fighter's guild is pretty lame, and at the mid-end is extremely eerie. SPOILER!: You take this drug that enhances your abilities, but makes you hallucinate, and you kill this village of people you see as goblins. Sick stuff. Besides that I don't use what they have to offer really. Once a month (which comes more often than you think) you get money (barely anything considering I can make about 10k in an hour of game play) and some items, which when you travel like I do, you find 1500-2500 worth gear on the norm.

After that I dove into the Thieves guild. Wanna talk about hard? This was some of the hardest most annoying missions ever. First off you can't kill anyone till the end. Second off, the guards will take all your stuff you stole if they catch you. The pay off however is immense. The final mission takes about 2-3 hours on average to complete for first timers. I did it in about 2. Anyways, the ending is pretty epic, your boss is sending you on bogus missions to destroy a curse on him and he returns to his wife after ten years and you get this sick friggin cowl. What this thing does is basically give you a second identity. So I commit the most vile crimes with this thing on and I can take it off any time and no one knows the difference. On top of that it boosts your thieving skills hard-core. So how did I man up to this? I never take it off! It made alot of missions easier. I have about a 80k bounty on my head right now for murdering. I killed the entire Bravil and Anvil Imperial Guard, not sure if they respawn, but for the past few days I have been in and out they haven't been around, but their bodies have. So how can you man up? Kill entire cities!

After that, I was left with the dark brotherhood, pretty simple stuff. I did their quests before on other alts, but never finished the last few quests. You basically become lord and master and you get paid once a week, not much, actually nothing to turn a brow to, and you get a henchman. And they can go stealth! That is sweet, a smart fighter and a moron mage.

Now, onto manning up with the horse. You get a heroic horse (which I often use for storage) and he'll fight for you when he is around. I don't know about you, but because I am a nerd at heart I make personal vandettas against NPC's and some dude at a stable told the guards I was around (with my 80k bounty) and made me have to kill a few more guys. So I spared this moron and instead took my old horse into his stables and had my horse kill his horses. Nothing sweeter than seeing brutal aquestrian battles.

Anyhow, if you got this far... You must be really dedicated to this monarch of man hood and probably sporting some - eh nevermind, I don't feel like getting suspended again. If you guys have any questions on Oblivion (yea, that game that came out over a year ago... Almost two) then ask, I am pretty good and well knowledged on all the Elder scrolls.

A New Man

Well, I have been away for a while and I believe I will become a rarity, I have jumped back into writing articles, so my fingers are really busy typing them and sending them out. Other than that, I am a New Man all over again. I bought a new laptop. A 17'' 3g ddr 300gb ls/dvdr+/-, sexual Toshiba notebook. The thing is out of control. I am actually learning alot about Vista, which is good, because too many people call me about comp problems and I cannot help 75% of my people due to vista. I also bought Crysis which is out of control (very good), and witcher, which I have not played, but the reviews here were awesome.

Ontop of that I also got 2k for being awesome and honorably discharged from the navy. Oh and I got rid of my old facebooks and myspaces and created an alter ego and a music myspace: all for the lulz. And when I say all of the lulz, my next two months in my 'grow out the hair' era, will all be for the lulz.

Anyone here do it for the lulz?

Career Change

So, I don't know how many of you all are educated or experienced in 'Career' changes or even 'starting a career'. I get odd looks; sometimes even disregarded looks, from people when I tell them my career was the Navy. I usually remedy their ignorance when I explained to them my performance and job in the Navy, but I also let them know the other jobs in the Navy are careers as well.

It's not too often when a twenty two year old decides to make a career change. Mine was a huge career change. The vast size of it could only be explained with a biography of my years in high school, but we won't get into that. I basically was left with one option after high school – military. However, I was benefited with an adept skill in intelligence itself and was found to be good enough to be a quick action cryptologist. I recently separated from the Navy and basically, cryptology and Navy is all I know.

Well – besides from gaming of course. I am trying to get a job with the FBI. Looking at the FBI seems like something so little to being beside ONI, DOD, with the Navy. But oh well, NSA was my original dream job, but it's not for me. FBI seems cooler anyhow – a bigger badge =D.

Dusk, Details, n' Dumb iDeas.

Yawn yawn. Okay, so I got woken up at around 0300 to stand a random watch with an m16 ontop of a ship and look out into just darkness and water. What does this mean? I've been out to sea for 3 weeks, which isn't long compared to my career, but it means I won't be seeing land for a little while either. On this note, me and my DS have become great friends. I have beaten Elite Beat Agents, almost beat Pokemon Pearl, and beat Ace Attorney #1. Now I am on Digimon Dusk. I love it. Simply love it. So at the end of this blog will be a nice interum review. Dumb Ideas. I go to the forums these days to see what the 'kids' are thinking about. When I say kids, I mean anyone I wouldn't give respect too. So you can be 13, but if you have a head on your shoulders I'll treat you like you were 20. I see some amazing things said on the forums. Maybe it's because I am frequent at the DS forums so it attracts more kids, or what. But the things they come up with is beyond me. I have nothing to show, but I think I am going to start taking screen shots and sharing how ridiculous these people can be. For note, today as an example, the 'kids' are discussing the success of an idea about 'making Mario into a show'. This shows me a few things. It shows me A: These kids were born in the 90's. B: These kids have no sense of a good show. and C: They probably like Naruto [Please reference previous Blog about banning]. Mario was a show 3 times, a horrible movie [Which I own], and simply doesn't have a story line that can arc past an hour of actual run time. Oh - because 75% of the mario games can be beaten in an hour or less. Now - Digimon Dusk. I have not played Dawn, and to tell the truth when I bought Dusk I played 10 minutes of it and put it down for months. So long I wasn't even sure what I was doing in the ten minutes I was playing. I recently picked it back up though and I have placed over 10 hours of gameplay into it since. This may not seem like a huge amount of time, but for a man who works 14-19 hour days, it's alot. The game starts off HORRIBLY. You're pretty much in a crappy looking ruin where your 'cult' like 'clan/guild' are hanging out at and there is a disturbance. You and your insanely powerful digimon go take care of business. You seriously knock out your enemies in about a rounds worth of combat. I was bothered by this because well - I don't like to start off mammothly powerful. I kept playing and five minutes later I am in some high tech place where I have to fight in a tournament. I hated this because I don't know why I am there and why do I deserve to be there? Oh well - you win with your eyes closed. This is where I put the game down. I picked it back up because I just beat Ace Attorney and I wasn't in the mood to get my a** taxed in pokemon so I picked up Digimon and looked up a few spoiler tips online. It said my Digimon would be busted down after the tournament so it sparked a certain interest to how well I would level and digivolve. Now for the actual review: In the Digimon Dusk game you will be in command of 3 starting pokemon of your choice out of 3 or 4 packages. For the sake of fact I chose Lunamon, Skullgreymon, and WGarurumon. They all get knocked down to their rookie stages. You get a free Island, which my friend always calls a gym. You can upgrade your island with 'size' to allow more equipment and digimon to live on it, and with equipment for your digimon to train on. Your top screen thusly becomes a live feed to all your islands. You can have multiple islands all of which have your digimon on it. In this game you catch Digimon through scanning, like previous games. You must encounter the digimon a certain amount of times, on average 15 times, to get a full scan of them and when you return back to your HQ you can 'digiconvert' or 'create' the digimon. Perhaps the coolest thing about the game is that you can keep degenerating and digivolving the same digimon. What's the purpose of this? When you degenerate your digimon, they maintain a percentage of their stats, so when you level them up again, they get even stronger and faster. What do you sacrifice? Not much really. You probably won't see the difference your first time doing it, but after the first two or three times, you will see the more you do the cycle, the stronger they get. The other awesome thing is when a digimon levels up all stats go up by at LEAST 1. And when you degenerate or digivolve, you go back to level one, maintain all your original moves, and percentage of your max stats, but level 1-9 can be accomplished in about two battles most of the time! It's the first game I have played hours on end on a portable game system since Pokemon Red. NOT FIRE RED! Pokemon Effing Red! I bought it at SEARs when I was 13!!!! I am almost 23! WTF! Lol. Anyways. If you like a monster RPG with alot of freedom, this game has no linear basis. I ignore almost all my missions and simply train my digimon. Oh! Back to the islands. The digimon that are not on your team, can be placed in the island and they will train. You can also train your digimon on average 5 times every 30 minutes. Also. When you fight, your top three digimon are in battle no matter what. You then have 3 reserved. ALL DIGIMON in the party no matter their placement or activity get the same EXP as the other digimon - making 'power leveling' that much easier. Man - this game is intense!
