[QUOTE="simpsons1fan"][QUOTE="supergamer1289"]And please, DON'T WORRY ABOUT BOTTLENECKING. Some people on these forums think its a matter of life and death. Its really not that big of a deal to be honest.simpsons1fan

well ive heard it can ruin ur vid card... is tht true??? just making sure

No, its really not true. The worst it can do is make your graphics card not be able to reach its full potential. I don't want that to sound like its a big deal becuase we are talking about maybe 5 FPS. Also, even if you do bottleneck you wont notice any lagging, stuttering, crashing or anything else that would make a game unplayable.

ok ty very much man... u helped me alot

Yea dont worry bout bottlenecking.

[QUOTE="LouieV13"]Lets just say dont buy a alienware. If you have that much money you can build a uber freaking rig that would utterly rape any alienware.codezer0
:| Have you even bothered to think that some people just don't want to **** build a system? Or are you going to continue on being a forum dreg? An Alienware with their liquid cooling system is not loud at all. But then again, the regular air-cooled ones don't seem so bad either. The campus has a few of them for the game development lab room. They're only audible when it's initial start-up, but quiet down a fair bit once the OS is loading. Noise dampening padding helps reduce some of the audio created in a case, but part of that is... it makes it heavier, and some can at worst make the internal temperatures rise (slightly).

Im trying to save him a few bucks... its not that hard anyway if he wants to be stubbern and waste money on an alienware i'll stop.

just spreading the love!

I used that guide

[QUOTE="LouieV13"][QUOTE="TheGrayEye"]Well the specs I got it to on their site, would run crysis on high, and it would cost $1349. I don't feel safe building my own PC, I mean, I know people who spent like $3000 dollars on their PC that can only run crysis on high. So this doesn't seem like a bad deal...TheGrayEye

Umm you wont be able to run crysis on a 1300$ alienware it probly has a 8400GS and a 1.86ghz intel C2D. I was 15 when I built my rig I felt the same way you do I was gonna get a Alienware but ended building and I dont regret it at all. Look up guides, the only thing I was afraid of was putting the cpu in cause I was thinking i was gonna drop it and break it and all that but I never did. So trust me when I say this, build your own computer, its cheaper and you feel really good afterwards when your maxing your games ;)

Actually, I'm using the custimize your PC thing, and it would include a graphics card of 8800gt and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200. I wouldn't include a monitor from them, because I already have this 1440 x 900 monitor that I got not to long ago, so i'd use that. I think i'd run Crysis pretty good with this, though I don't doubt it feels cool to make your own rig... I don't know if im ready for that yet.

LOL with that much $$$ you can build a tri-crossfire HD 3870 and a Phenom X4 9500+ with nice cooler... that equals epic mega crysis maxage

If I wasa millionare I wouldent even then buy an alienware though they are some of the best PC's in the world. They are just not worth the money, and dont even get me started on their memory.

I was a millionare I would get a huge ass case and figure some way to link mobos together and put like 4 790FX mobos with four HD 3870X2's each.
