maximus_2
well can you point me out to good mobo..??
like this one or that one?
I am planning on running Q6600, DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 PC2 8500.
stuff like that...
The ASUS one. Crossfire is much better than SLi. Two HD 3870's beat two 8800GT's(The 8800GT is a bit better with single card vs HD 3870 single card.)but this ASUS still can support SLi too right?
No you NEED a SLi suportive mobo for SLi.omg.... I am getting lost.. with what I should go.. SLI or CF..
SLi = waste of money. Crossfire is actually worth it.[QUOTE="LouieV13"][QUOTE="maximus_2"][QUOTE="yoyo462001"][QUOTE="maximus_2"]any mobo with 2 x16 pci-E slots will do it just fine, i would recomend getting an nvidia SLi board and CF on that instead...soo... what mobo do you need to run CF??

For the last time, BOTTLENENECKING IS NOT THAT BIG A DEAL. I would explain to you why its not but I am too lazy. I am sure everyone else will back me up on this.
I sure as hell do. I mean a Pentium 4 will bottleneck a 8800/2900/3800 series card a bit but its not like its gonna kill you. Any dual core(cept PentD's they arent really duals anyway[nativly]).[QUOTE="yoyo462001"][QUOTE="maximus_2"]any mobo with 2 x16 pci-E slots will do it just fine, i would recomend getting an nvidia SLi board and CF on that instead...soo... what mobo do you need to run CF??

then why do i only get 20-30 FPS then? How much RAM was you using?
Hmm I had some Corsair Value ram 2gb at the time I think. BF2 abolutly HATE vista tho, I got like 5-10fps in vista with those settings. The HD 2600XT works with DX9 games and XP btw :lol:Alright thanks for the replies. Are there any other models I can get that may be better thatn the ones I posed above, but for my price range
How about a DX9 card? Since I don't have Vista and don't plan on getting it, would a GeFOrce 7 series card do me any good, or are all these better?
