Overpriced by 500$ at least. you can find better either at dell or at a respectable sager manufacturer.
Sager 5791 17" with 8700Gt GPU 1600$.

im going ot have around 1000 to 1700 dollars to spend any help on that?Decoy123/thread
I agree, also always ALWAYS try to get at least a 17" screen.. 15" is just too entirely small specially if your getting the laptop specifically for gaming.
Well laptops are for mobility so smaller the better. Also smaller screen + smaller res = better perf lol[QUOTE="musclesforcier"]Well first of all you need to tell us your budget. I would suggest you get 32 bit Vista.nintendo_fan135
My budget is, preferably, as cheap as possible but the maximum I can spend is around $1200.
You gonna build or buy a pre-built?[QUOTE="Kokain81"]My proc is a 3.06 hyper threading, it ran awsome with my 5950 ultra, i'm almost thinking i should go back to that.... which is sad really....Luminouslight
*Rips hair out* That's your clock speed... is it a pentium 4?
Yea it is.[QUOTE="LouieV13"]Actually stuff is getting smaller NM proceses making them use less power. Look at the 8800GT, uses around 105w of power and outperforms the older cards that used alot more power. CPU's are getting the same way too tho im not too sure if they use less power tho I know they are getting smaller too.sgacOK that may be the case in intel's favour and the Nvidia card is certainly good but we've yet to see the true potential of both nvidia and ATI cards. The current ATI cards suck up a lot more power , is this saying something, OK I know they're inferior in DX9 and DX10 games at the moment but there could be something hiding under that hood . Anyway all this still misses the point I mentioned earlier, if your gonna build a high end system full of top drawer components then a sound invesstment to make is in a good PSU to feed them. Yes there may be less powerful models out there that do the same job perfectly but as I said earlier, you'll get a long shelf life out of it, your PC will remain stable and it's kinder to the environment.
Err im pretty sure the HD 3800's use around 100w like the 8800GT...
gpu temp is at 48.0Kokain81Dam thats pretty good. I honestly have no clue. What settings are you playing at? Does Half-Life 2 play the same? What about other games?
