Half a face? So before CGI fake-Leia just existed with half a face? Poor actress... born with beauty halved... ;-)
For those that want to see a full face, do the following:
- Click on Leia-half-face.
- The twitter page comes up and for some reason shows the right hand pic more fullly. By the way they should have just used that actress, she looks very much like Leia right there.
- Click on Leia-half-face on the left hand side.
- Full photo!!! Huzzah! She is restored, and except for a case of space chicken-pox she looks great. This can of course be done with the other photo too.
Hey Gamespot, you are not a paper medium. No issue with "do we have space for the car ad, or another photo to support our story?" Why oh why wasn't the full photos put inline in the article? Yes we can click, but should we have to?
@musicman65000: Okay I learned something today, never heard of SJW.
Social Justice Warrior. A pejorative term for an individual who repeatedly and vehemently engages in arguments on social justice on the Internet, often in a shallow or not well-thought-out way, for the purpose of raising their own personal reputation.
Ahh, okay?
I have to agree with @Pawfalcon, all the negative feedback I've read so far and not one mention that the game was "reduced" to some new low because two guys kissed.
What's funny for me is, if you want that "scene" you have to role play it to force it to happen. What's the concern then? That you have that option? That somewhere out there, some chose that path? What am I missing? Or is some other choice available in the the game. (To be fair I don't want to put words in your mouth, but you really didn't explain your position either.)
People are more upset at things we have no control over, the level of graphics in the facial animation, maybe the quests that are the game itself, ... all legitimate points to "complain" about.
Remember, you don't have to buy the game if it offends you.
@franklucito: You are correct about mood and tone. But like others commenting here, I was more of a DC fan growing up than Marvel. I don't mind dark, but it seems that's all they know how to do nowadays. The Marvel films mix it up better between the films (large groups, lighter stories around one character, ...) and within a single film.
Well as one person correctly pointed out, I'm only seeing a few minutes of a much larger story. But I think "dark" works better when it's contrasted against light.
But like I said, I'm a fan, I'll be seeing this and hoping for the best.
@Pawfalcon: Like you I'm so behind in my gaming that I can afford to wait. Right now doing my first play through of the original ME trilogy. Later I'll buy ME:A when it's a bit cheaper and the issues have been fixed.
After this, I jump to Fallout 4. For which I have all the DLC, updated graphics, etc... due to being slow to get to it.
I love when your episodes are a bit more informal and this was a great one! The funny bit at the beginning and yes, unscripted works better, and that bit at the end.
Lol. I gotta say, if I was in that park I would have waited you to finish, but I would have wanted a photo with you all. Don't worry you're safe, I'm in California...
So on Fallout 4 - VR. You'll be at E3 right? You must report on this. I'm very curious as to how the game works in VR. It would be great if you all could do a separate video report on it if they would let you show that much.
By the way, do you all have the technology of umbrellas in Australia? ;-)
@kingoffps: This is one reason I only buy the game after all the episodes have been published. I buy the full season in one block. This way I can control the gap between episodes.
You all make excellent points. Netflix is just a great way to see “free/cheap” old shows that you don’t want to buy the DVDs for.
I think at the start of their experiment, the other production companies probably thought, “you wanna buy what…?“ Then laughed and thought, “oh man, like taking candy from a baby. They actually wanna buy our old shows, that we show free in reruns (sometimes) to people and charge them… LOL!”
Uh oh. Look who made lot’so money. ?
So now you have HBO offering HBOGO to watch their stuff if you don’t subscribe via cable. Other competitors of course raising the fees due to competition as we noted. Now everyone thinks there is money to be made.
I think CBS with Star Trek: Discovery being only available on CBS All Access is the latest model. But honestly, I don’t think that will work. They don’t offer enough to subscribe and most people are wary of being nickel and dimed to death.
I did read one interesting business case on Netflix’s new push for creating their own shows.
- They own it.
- The small bump in new subscribers to watch the show (e.g. House of Cards) pretty much paid for its production.
- Finally Netflix wants those key shows that keep you from leaving them. House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, whatever… If you stick to see the next season… they get your subscription fee and you are hooked. Pretty much how HBO and the other premium channels do it.
Honestly for me, originally I loved the library of media and the new stuff was a bonus. But now, I’m getting so into their original programming that the “old shows” are the bonuses…
