Haven't played it yet, but from reviews and friends who have played it, the issue isn't the setting. The issue is the missions being very linear. There is a lack of choices in accomplishing missions.
Anyways, we'll see that if they keep the same structure how this year's does in a new setting. My guess, it won't do well. Their competitors are making better games.
"And by the way, they are legalizing my thing." - Okay, I found that funny.
My issue with Netflix is... they are making a lot of good shows lately. I now can't keep up. So I appreciate your review as while I have the show queued up, I might push harder to get to it. Gotta say, clocking in at 30 minutes an episode will help for a "filler" show when I have that short break to fill.
And Chastity, please take me off your list of potential meals, or even as a side dish. I was very nice. Love your work. ;-)
@diablusx: Great points. Since I've never been to one, I think it would be interesting to go once just to see what it's about, but honestly I wouldn't want to pay the price they are asking. (I could buy a bunch of games for that...)
I also read that some companies are dropping out of E3 to do their own events. Like EA, Ubisoft, ... So one pays the money but some of the biggest players are missing?
I'll get better coverage of the event by just watching Gamespot. Let Jess and the gang stand in those lines for us. ;-)
On E3. So I read the first 1000 tickets are $150, the other 14000 are $250, sooo that brings in a nice $3,650,000!
I have no idea of the cost of E3, their profit, etc... But I wonder. Does this add a little to their profit or a lot? Is adding an extra 15,000 people just a drop in the bucket, or will it push the crowded nature of the event too far? Will those extra fans interfere with the business nature of the event?
Just me talking... err, writing out loud. Anyways, having said all that. I'd go if I could. Would be fun to attend one.
I think VR will have it's day, but not tomorrow. It will be many more years. I'm waiting for two things, more applications (games and movies) and the biggie, a lower price. With the goggles, controllers, etc... aren't you close to the $1K mark? Too much for me.
This first generation consumer version shows it's possible, I'll check back in around generation three...
I'm confused. First, I don't have the issues mentioned here so maybe I'm not truly getting it. But if the convention experience is overall too much, why go? Or if it's a situation where, the con is fine but after a few hours one needs breathing room for 20 minutes... then why not go outside, or another part of the convention hall and find a corner to sit it out for awhile?
Honestly I've done that. I'll sit to the side and just enjoy people watching. You'll probably find other people like yourself that just want to take a load off their feet and have a snack. I've met some nice people that way.
But if the requirement is "they need to talk to a health professional during that time." Is a convention's safe place room really the right answer? Sounds like there are larger issues here, as many are pointing out.
