@xsonicchaos @LowTechGeek @starduke I know, and I'm happy about that. I'm also hoping that with the release of the Ouya, more developers will start to target Linux.
Linux/Debian/Ubuntu really needs to become the platform that game developers target, so we no longer have to put up with this crap on either console OR PC.
I'm starting to picture that doing anything with this machine that it doesn't think you want to do will make interacting with it incredibly complex. Like if you only do one thing, and your profile is configured for that one thing, it'll be really easy to use. If you want to do anything else, you'll probably have to set a dozen configuration options with constant pop-up notifications just to tell the Xbox One you want to do something else. God help you if you want to switch back to that first task.
You know, one thing that I have yet to hear in all of this is how these new M$ policies are going to affect the game rental market, like GameFly or Redbox. Considering that in order just to play a game now it'll have to be installed and registered to your account, I don't see any room for the rental market here. If true, that's going to really hurt game sales as well.
