I played the first one, and from what I seen, the second one doesn't seem as fun as the first. Still trying to save up coins for the second.
The first is definitely worth the 800 coins if you compare to what the other rewards are.

imo, I found the Zelda or Mario posters to be more worth the points than the G&W collection was. If you're a fan of them, I can understand that, but there's just not enough content in there for those 800 hard-earned points.
Anyone played through Fate/Unlimited Codes? I've been considering giving it a try, and I've heard mostly positive reviews, I just don't know if it's worth the 30$ or not.
Worst FF of the gen with some of the least charismatic characters of the series, a *terrible* spell system that turned things into a grind worth of an MMO, an utterly forgettable antagonist, and complete with a juvenile love story perfect for reeling in the pre-teens. May be my least favourite FF game ever, actually. I literally had to force myself to finish the bloody thing.

lol not ragging on you...but everything you hate about it is what I loved about it. Also love the part where you go back in time and play the hero before squall
Agreed with you there. 8 was the first Final Fantasy I started, so it's got a special place amongst the others for me, even if it's not my favorite of the series. (that would be IX)
I was thinking about getting it and wanted had the chance last month, but I'm glad I didn't. After reading the GS review, I will think twice about getting it. Looked promising though, shame..Daavpuke
Same here. I'm probably going to upgrade to something like Fate/Unlimited Codes instead :P
Ok, but seriously now...I think that there's no 'need' to bridge the alleged gap between casual games and hardcore games if it's not going to be used in the first place. There may be a few people that take advantage of such a thing, but it risks alienating the 'hardcore' population and not attracting enough of the 'casual core' in the first place.
I'm looking for a RPG. I already own (Chrono trigger, TWEWY, and Mario and Luigi)
I'm Interested in Dragon Quest but would I need to play all of them to understand the story, or are they all separate?

My understanding is that they're all separate, in the same way that the Final Fantasies are. While I'm mentioning THOSE, III and IV are pretty good, so you couldn't go wrong with either one.
Depends on how much time you're willing to invest in the game. The included minigames aren't that great imo, since they're just tap-only. Building your own takes some time to make good stuff, but once you get it figured out, it's pretty awesome.
