@nparks: Homecoming was more of a MCU project than Sony.

Marvel did all the production of Spidey, Sony did the marketing thus the crappy spoil half the story trailers...

@dawnwatcher: well thankfully Sony Pictures lost a bundle on the dark tower and in the grand scheme I don't think Emoji will make em enough to offset their losses....

Emoji is one of those things they can hold up in a meeting and say look at what we did and nobody who knows the truth would see the numbers and be like OMG these people are geniuses......anyone who follows this stuff would be like pfft and laugh....

one thing though is I thank fans for supporting Spiderman....it wasn't MCU's biggest hit but people came out in a large enough number to warrant Marvel doing more with it....and IMO the intro was a bit meh but once it got going it was a fun movie and fr once the villain was awesome and posed a real threat physically and in the form of "I can expose you kid" they took a D list villain and made him cool and Spiderman can grow as a character and a hero from this start....but going into the next movie will be interesting cus presumably Aunt May knows Peter's secret now

i could say a lot on this but really Sony pictures is a division that lacks leadership and are too worried about profit to make good movies now and they need to replace Rothman and Pascal ASAP just saying rothman's doing the same BS he did at FOX and Amy Pascal has been a liability for awhile now....15 years ago SP used to be pretty good and had a ton of good movies come out of there but IDK what went wrong....

@dawnwatcher: and sadly the movie made money cus Sony pictures is so desperate that they had outside investors pay all the fees so they could say they had at least 1 success this year.....

and as always the masses ate this crap up....no story, nothing relevant, no point to exist, purely empty as a film and it made money......

@Abdulrahman1981: typical, Mother is more art, it's in the same realm as a David Lynch film but from what I'm told it has a story you can follow easier than lynch's stuff.....

I haven't seen mother yet but it's on my list.....even having not seen it i'd put it as the best movie on the list....you honestly gonna say baywatch is better?? CHiPs is better?? fracking Tyler perry trash is better, transformers?? ugh

@timthegem: yeah?? well his movies still suck and only appeal to the lowest common denominator.....Martin Lawrence is funnier and I don't find martin to be funny at all, that should give you an idea of my opinion.....sh**t movies for morons

I grabbed a new clearance copy of Wipeout Omega collection for like $20 at Gamestop....pretty fun game so far....

I coulda got it for the $15 on PSN but i prefer to have a disc copy....

Mass Effect FTW

Bioshock and Portal, HL2 Episode 2 & Crackdown were all cool too......I probably played Mass Effect trilogy as a whole more than anything last generation......Fallout 3 and NV are also my other big games of last gen.....

All of these are either bad or I never heard of em or were just the wrong thing......

case in point, never heard of Birth of the dragon, I heard Transformers 5 sucked, Dark Tower was the wrong way to do it.......and so many of these I just never heard of or if I did I forgot about em cus they're forgettable.....

it's a MMO RPG that for the most part you can solo, there's some battles you'll really need partners for but as a RPG it's good, better than most modern RPG's lately, it's no KOTOR but it's pretty fun and feels like star trek lol
