Well fifa takes alot less CPU power to run the graphics and all witch in returns means less heat witch mean the fan doesnt have to run as hard. COD4 strains the cpu in witch runs alot more processes and heats up very rapidly in return triggering the fan, the fan has thermal sensor allowing it to set it self to correct settings for the heat level of your xbox.FR-Save-A-baby
Thanks. This makes sense because COD4 seems to make my Xbox seem louder than when I play FIFA. I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem though. I'd like to think it's because of the power problems in my house today.
Plus, COD4 was the one that was having my 360 run quiet for longer than FIFA.
I want to guess and say this is because of the power problems I've had in my house today, but I'm not entirely sure. The reason I'd guess this is because this has never happened before.
It shouldn't do any harm even if it persists, right?
Thanks for the replies. I just want to make sure this isn't a sign of anything bad. Even with the fans really quiet and stuff, it can still run at its full capacity, right? I don't want to damage it by continuing to play it while it's this quiet.
I just don't understand why this would happen out of nowhere. I was playing earlier in the afternoon for a couple hours with none of this and it suddenly happened. Nothing to worry about, right?
Usually my Xbox is quite loud because I play in a small room and the volume isn't that loud, but now all of a sudden after awhile, my Xbox will get really quiet as if I just went back to the dashboard. This never happened before. Any reason why this might be happening?
Today it rained a lot and although my power didn't go out, my lights in my house have been flickering and stuff. Can it be because there's less power being used or something or there's problems with the power from the thunderstorm today? I just want to know why this would happen out of the blue. It happened when I was playing FIFA after having my system on for probably 45 minutes to an hour and then it happened about 5 or 10 minutes after turning it on when I was playing COD4 with my friends. It went back to thenormal loudness after a few minutes of playing FIFA, but it continued when I was playing COD.
Any suggestions for what might have caused this and why? I want to make sure there's nothing wrong with my system.
Yeah, they are similar. Anyway, thanks for the response. This better not be happening because this exact thing happened to my last one and I eventually had to send it in.
Anyone have anything encouraging?
