I ordered COD4 last Saturday (11/24) from Buy.com because I know that they have fast shipping. I got an e-mail on the 27th that it had been shipped. I've ordered from them several times, the last time being when I ordered Madden and it had come 2 days after I got the confirmation e-mail that it had been shipped. Tomorrow it will be a week since I got the e-mail that it had been shipped.
Seeing that I still haven't gotten it, I went to their site today and went to the tracking info and saw this:
Status: Your shipment was accepted/picked up at 10:23 am on December 03, 2007 in JERSEY CITY, NJ 07097 .
What does this mean? Does this mean I should be expecting it tomorrow since I've already gotten my mail and the UPS man has already made his deliveries to my house today? Or does it mean something else?
I don't order things online much so if I sound stupid, sorry. I just want to make sure that means I should be receiving it soon. I live in NY, btw.
UPS came yesterday and today when nobody was home and they're going to try coming back on Monday, but I was wondering if I can contact a live person to see if they can contact my UPS man so they can find out if he can come back today. I called the number on the InfoNotice and gave them the InfoNotice number, but all I got was an automated voice and I couldn't speak to a live person. Is there any number I can call to try and get my package today?
I'm getting my 360 back tomorrow from repairs because it was having freezing problems and I noticed I never cleared the cache on my HDD before I sent it in to see if maybe that was the problem. Does it really help that much? I just want to know because I want to make sure it was my console that was crapping out and not any HDD problems.
this is not so much a question but more of a rant.
my 2nd xbox (I had to get the first replaced, thank christ for the warranty) is now doing the same thins as my 1st one did when it started to break- ie the fan makes a grinding noise and the connection becomes poor, really poor. Has this happened to anyone else?

Mine started to make a screetching/grinding type of noise coming from the fan (atleast I think it was the fan) and then a week or 2 later it started freezing after a few minutes of turning it on.
Thanks for the replies. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks to the day since I called to have the coffin sent to my house. Hopefully it'll be here this week. I'm craving some COD4....
The new ones are very nice. Not loud and the RROD issue is fixed. Its also got an HDMI port. I love mine. I can play it all day and leave it for for like 12 hours and its barely warm.MrSickVisionz
When was yours manufactured? Did you get this back from Microsoft after one of yours died or did you buy this recently?
Alright, thanks. I just can't help reading people who have experienced all of these disc drive problems and problems where the console scratches the disks. I've already gotten the RROD twice and I don't want to experience more problems.
I sent my 2nd console in a week ago and I'm hoping for a newer console (even if it is a refurb) because I'm guessing those are more reliable. Has anyone gotten one back recently with a recent MFR date? I've already gotten the RROD twice, including my 2nd one also having lots of freezing problems before it got the RROD.
I'm just scared that the one I get back will have problems like disc drive problems or the console scratching disks because I've heard this is the new RROD. Should I be worried?
