They did this bullsheet with Halo, making dual wielded guns and shotguns worthless by nerfing. Because of that I started to hate Halo as a lot of people did, and jumped to Call of Duty. The rest is history. Instead of wasting time nerfing guns people worked hard to get, Bungie should work extra hard to add more story cinemas and better missions for patrol and better strikes. As it is this game is meh and getting old fast. What's the point of working your @ss off for 40 hours to get an exotic if Bungie is going to nerf it? This is bad customer relations.

Also the PS4 renders 1,152 shaders per second. The Xbone only renders 768 shaders per second. For contrast, the Wii U only renders 252 shaders per second.

The negative slant is because these two "reviewers" are from Gamespot Austrailia. They have backwards sensibilities and taste. Euros are always overly critical.
They are totally ignorant, they are implying your choices don't matter and lead to the same place. The debs made clear months ago if you make the right choices, all 8 main characters will survive to the end of the story.
Yeah, I think they really did a hatchet job on Destiny. By "they" I mean gaming media. I like how Danny threw the "hipster" notion out there , defensively, to get in front of it. The fact is most gaming journalists are indeed hipsters. If you like crap non-games like super stardust, the sims, the unfinished swan and gone home, you are a damn hipster. They aren't real gamers. They are care bear casual fraud gamers.
The expectations for a robust 40 hour story for Destiny were unrealistic. People (media hipsters) keep throwing that "Mass Effect -like story " expectation around when degrading Destiny. Are you serious? You wanted a branching dialog tree heavy gameplay feature ON TOP of the shooting? Is your character supposed to cross -examine EVERY alien for 15 minutes before shooting him in the face?
I played Halo 1 for over 6 hours at a friends house. All I did was go from point A to point B shooting people. I don't remember any story. (Never finished it). I played through the whole Halo 2 ( Took over a year, i prefer multiplayer) . If you asked me what the story was about, I couldn't tell you. I just hated the whole arbiter section(half the damn game .).
From their history you could tell "story" is not Bungie's strong suit.
I don't know why people thought Destiny was supposed to be some epic Star Wars story( I hated Mass Effect). I'd give Destiny an 8 or a low 9, based on great gameplay alone. The story is about as good as Halo I guess. I can get whats going on, good enough. I'm not a passive gamer, I prefer action.
Some valid points. The problem with most of the Destiny reviews is they keep harping on the "lack of story". The current generation are spoiled brats who expect to be spoon-fed hours of cinema and dialog after they button mash mindlessly through a level. Assassins Creed I'm looking at you. Because current games follow that trend, they expect every game to be that.
They are forgetting games are supposed to be focused on gameplay, not screen plays. They are GAMES not movies. Ergo a lot of people, the reviewers included, fail to appreciate Destiny for the great gameplay it has. They keep looking for superficial bells and whistles. I've been playing video games since the early 1980's, and I WISH we had games as good as Destiny when I was a kid. 6 out of ten my arse. Then again, this is the same site that rated The Last of Us an 8 out of ten, so what do you expect.
