What is the size/dimension of GTX 260, 275 and 285? Are they bigger or same size as the 9800GTX/9800GTX+?

[QUOTE="MRXwee"]My Core2duo E8400 reaches 80'C under load, after change to aftermarket cooler, 56'C is max :D. Somehow my 9800GTX+ is getting hotter and hotter, max temp rises from 75'C to 84'C from the day i bought it until today.Luminouslight

Have you dusted out the case and coolers? That could contribute to the heat.

I had checked the dust on the gpu fan before and the amount of dust stucking there is hardly visible unless I use a torch light. Also, my casing is quite clean as I don't find much dust inside it. I think it is the thermal compound dried on the gpu chip, I gonna re-paste it once I got the Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste.

Thanks for the info guys... I think I would just use the alcohol from the pharmacy since it is more easy to find.

I want to reapply the thermal compound on my graphic card since the temp is getting higher and higher by time. I found out before reapplying the thermal compound, cleaning alcohol was used to clean the surface of the gpu chip. Is this alcohol same as the one that normally found in the pharmacy?

Actually is just some personal thoughts that Palit cards seem to be more "low quality" looking than Zotac cards for me. Also I think Zotac is more popular than Palit. Well is just my personal liking, not to mean that Palit sux. lol. Instead of 9600GT, why not try on ATi's HD4770, that card performs as close as the 9800GT and better in some cases.

the 59watt should be the newer model of 9600GT which requires less power (no 6-pin cable required) but from the specs, it seems to be a little bit slower than the 95watts one. Besides, I prefer zotac over palit :D

[QUOTE="MRXwee"]

Which PSU is more worth to get among this two
Gigabyte SuperB 720W
Gigabyte Odin Pro Solid 550W

Could they power up a system with a gtx280 and above?

raynimrod

720w, more wats you have more things you can put into your pc :D I m getting a corsair 850w for my new rig :D

I hate to break it to you, but determining what is and what isn't a good PSU does not soley sit with wattage. The number of amps on the 12v rail among other things are particularly important. As is whether or not it is a True 80+ power supply.

Why do you mean by True 80+ power supply. The Odin one seems to be more expensive than the SuperB, so I wondering which one is more worth if both of them could power up a single gtx280 or above.
