Gears was a new franchise 2 years ago and i would say it sold pretty well . Gears marketing was tremendous and so will LBPs. LBP is a new franchise and Sony will promote it in about every commercial they get just like MS did with Gears. I wouldn't even mention Fable as a established franchise. Its a franchise built on broken promises and lies from Peter Molyneux. Anybody that says Resistance 2 will outsell Gears is fooling themselves. The basic fact is that 360 will win in Software sales this holiday season but the PS3 has a better chance of winning the hardware sales(well versus the 360 at least).

in case u just came back from vacation.....MS cut the 360 prices....and you can bet they are gonna make the market know that.

LBP is a new franchise. Fable 2, and Banjo are established franchises. The sales and hype wfrom Fable 2 and Banjo 3 will vastly overcome LBP.

The fall dashboard update will obviously get a lot of marketing to raise awareness. MS will also market the **** out of the above games. They will also advertise that you can play all PS3 multiplats on a $199 360 instead of a $400 console.

MS will win this holiday against PS3.......in NA at least. This isnt being a fanboy....well it is but that doesnt make it not true.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. They'll have more hype, obviously, but we won't know whether or not they'll be better.

cows may not agree, hence my title. We can never say what game is better....put public perception and sales, and even metacritic are the mediums to judge.

in US? i give it a 50-50. worldwide? i doubt. if PS3 can outsell 360 in 07 went 360's lineup had much better exclusives and it grandaddy exclusive halo 3 what could happen when PS3 and 360 are at about even in terms of exclusives if not PS3 having the better lineupRagashahs

its a shame PS3 sold more WW in 07. That basically proves brand loyalty > great games.
