To run Crysis you'll need a decent machine, minimum run specs are below and at minimum the game is unplayable. Gears of war is graphic's hungry too.
The 8800GT is expensive at £170 ... but that's Dell for you, you could save allot by buying the parts and building your own machine.

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista), Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista), AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or better
RAM: 1GB (1.5GB on Windows Vista)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or better VRAM: 256MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

Not a big differance with these CPU's, but i would go for the Core2Duo E6550 for video encoding

£400-£450 isn't alot, and i'm thinking that you don't need a monitor... the dell vostro 410 isn't a bad system, it is a little basic and not future prof for gaming thou, i did see that you can upgrade on one of the options to a 8800gt which isn't a bad graphic's card.

What kind of FPS are you thinking about??..

It all depends on your budget! and what games you want to play...

Quad would be better and as for graphics card, budget play's a big part here too!. you should probably total your budget and then find out what machines are in your price range.

Well... it seems there are allot of different mice being used by different people and i haven't looked at the Razor before now... and it seems that they are releasing a new mouse with 4000dpi the "Lachesis" and it also has onboard memory for holding profiles much like the Sidewinder from Microsoft

I'm really curious about the 3 top mice coming out for gaming.... but bottom line is really...

Gamespot!.. Please do a Round-up of mice! :D

Hey! how come gamespot never do a mouse round up like the ones they do for the video cards... i think it's time they did. with som amny mice out now

I personally would like to see something like that as the mouse has become or is one of the most important parts of your setup.

Maybe some of you guys would like to give a small review of what mouse your using... and i dont just mean a thumbs up.. i wana hear about problems you've had and such with the software that came with the mouse of something..

I personally have the G5 (one button version) and it works ok, but i've had problems with the software.. like your supposed to be able to set profiles for games.. but it doesn't always work.. and the DPI can randomly change in the game if your trying to change on the fly..... basically if it did what it's supposed to do.. then it would be a brilliant mouse, but it's hit and miss with it.

i'm looking at (or thinking about) getting a new mouse and i was looking at the G9 or Sidewinder....
