Crysis will never come close to Halo 3's success and profitability. Too bad for crytek I bet you if they would've made it for the 360 more people would be playing/buying it. The whole point of crysis is to show off how far graphics has evolved. The game is supposed to be a graphical showcase nothing else.
Sales does matter for the devs and publishers. If the game is a flop companies loose alot of money. It really doesnt matter if the games is great if it doesn make money for the companies then its a flop.
Last time i checked uncharted didnt make people buy a ps3 or drive the sales of its hardware. COD4 looking better? Oh lord, you'll be hard pressed to know the difference. UT3 is not a ps3 exclusive. As for potential graphical power? Is stopped believing sony's crap since the ps2 had its "toy story" like power.
Well overall the 360 has more games than the ps3 that cater more poeple. Even multiplatform games are preffered on the 360 so it doesnt matter what games are "AAA" as long as you enjoy playing it. I dont get why everyone takes these reviews so seriously. If the game is fun people will buy it, period.
The only reason I bought a 360 over a ps3 this gen is the games and xbox live. Live is a great unified online service that really makes it well worth it.
Just because PS2 succeeded doesnt mean PS3 will. The competition for the PS3 is too strong so it wont reign like previous years. PS1 had no competition, PS2 competed with a freshman console, the xbox. Now the 360 and PS3 are head to head almost equal in power and fanbase, this gen should be interesting.
Regardless, once Japanese devs realize that the xbox360 is a money making machine they could care less about exclusivity. Imagine how much it cost publishers and developers to make games nowadays, I wouldnt be suprised if I see a MGS or a final fantasy on the 360 this generation. As long the games make money, companies could care less about a gamers loyalty to a console, so play the games and enjoy them.
Hardware is always limited no matter what platform. Its creativity that is limitless. As long as there are creative and innovative games coming out for the consoles I could care less much for the graphics.
