It has come to my attention that I've barely been on this site at all lately. There are 3 reasons for this:
1. Ever since Code Geass R2 finished and TV.com site changed to this blinding white I just can't stand coming here anymore again :P.
2. Also MAL is much better and the blinding white works well when you have a lot of stuff on your profile :D. Just look at mine.
3. Finally I have been spending my free time creatively by making anime & manga video reviews :).

Well before I get onto my usual anime announcements, I'd just like to say that I renewed my Xbox Live account meaning I can play online games again after a long year. Xam'd: Lost Memories

This anime is the first of its kind because it's exclusive available to PS3 & PSP owners and not only that but it is produced by Bones (makers of: Eureka 7, FullMetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, etc.). So far it is both awesome to watch but incredibly confusing. For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, here's a trailer :D.

Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu

Not only is the title weird but so was this series. I thought it had potential but the romance didn't feel right, the story got real messed up and the characters require counselling :P.

Girls Bravo (1st & 2nd Season)

I expected this to be pretty crap and that's exactly what it was. The reason why I'm counting these as different series is because the 1st season actually had a story, whereas the 2nd season was pointless fanservice and the fanservice isn't something a kid should see :wink:. Well at least the comedy was funny.

I know that there are quite a few Full Metal Panic! fans here and I one of them. However I got tired of waiting for a sequel and decided to read the novels and I was pleasantly surprised :D.

FMP! The End of Day by Day

Even though this was the novel that TSR was adapted from, I learnt that the first 4 episodes of TSR were complete filler. Apart from that the rest of the story was pretty much the same but this novel went into more detail into the characters, like Kaname's little sister.

REVIEW – 9 / 10 :D

FMP! Dancing Very Merry Christmas

This novel is the sequel to TSR and after the first couple chapters it is pure action and comedy. The action in this story makes this novel seem the TV series '24' and the comedy is in the form of the hilarious dialogue.

FMP! Continuing on My Own

Now this novel was the best out of all of them, with an insane storyline full of non-stop action and drama. It was amazing to see what Amalgam was capable of when they finally got serious. Anyone who reads this would be shocked by the outcome.

FMP! Burning One Man Force

Right after the shocking end to Continuing On My Own, I jumped right onto this one, wanting find out how things turned out. Those of you who think Sousuke Sagara is just an uptight, military nut will soon change your opinion after reading this.

Sekirei

I found out about this from reading the manga, which I enjoyed enough to read 3 times :D and so far the new anime series hasn't disappointed me. It's definitely much better than the Rosario+Vampire anime, so any fans of that should check it out.

Da Capo

Personally I thought this anime (similar to Shuffle!) had so much potential but that great concept and romance was ruined slightly by the characters and the random side stories in the 1st season :?. However the 2nd season proved unwatchable, with one of the most annoying female characters ever that I kept praying would die :evil:.

Da Capo – 6/10
Da Capo Second Season – 5/10

Da Capo II

Just like the first series it is split up into 2 seasons. The 1st season focused more on romance but the story didn't really feel connected to the rest :P. The 2nd season actually focused more on the characters and the story, which is why I liked it the best. Was so sad near the end :cry:.

Da Capo II – 7/10
Da Capo II Second Season – 8/10

Overall I'll give it – 7.8 / 10 ^_^

Next up will be 12 Kingdoms and maybe re-watch Eureka 7 . :D

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo

I haven't read the book or watched the movie, so I didn't know what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed this compelling series :). The beginning was fairly dull but as the story picked up and the theme of vengeance became apparent, I began to like it. The artistic look does seem a bit weird though :?.

Now I was very interested in this slice of life because it had a very heart-warming story, with an angelic theme :D. However this is also a carefree series that most shounen lovers would be bored with.

Kino's Journey

I was expecting quite a lot from this high rated anime series and I was fairly disappointed by this mundane anime :P. Kino's Journey was basically just a series of random adventurous stories but unlike the similar anime (Mushi-shi), I just couldn't relate in anyway to the stories.

I'll give it – 7.8 / 10 ^_^

Rosario + Vampire

You may have realize that I am the Editor for the overrated anime series and to those who have seen the dreadful anime should known that the manga is so much better :P. Even though the anime is getting a 2nd season, I don't think it can restore the incredible manga story that it ruined. To those who've only seen the anime should hope for something like this to happen :wink:. Check out my REVIEW for the superior manga.

Shin Angyo Onshi

I finally got round to finishing this Korean manga (manhwa) and I must say, it is the most epic manga I've read since 20th Century Boys :D. Not only is the story and the characters amazing but it has the best artwork ever and here are some pics of it (Pic1 / Pic2). If you're interesting, then check out the REVIEW I did for it.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora

Another bittersweet romance anime, but unlike NANA, this one was fairly average. I also didn't like some of the supporting characters :(. It was only 6 episodes long so I didn't mind it and the whole illness things was portrayed very well :).

Honey & Clover 2

This one turned out to be just as good as the 1st season, with lots of laughs and plenty on tense drama :D. The only negative is that it was half the length as the first season, so it never finished the story.

Hajime no Ippo (Fighting Spirit)

This is just your typical underdog story about a boy who learns the joys of boxing and the struggles that come with it. Whoever is interested in this manly series, don't let the length of this old anime daunt you as it very entertaining :). My REVIEW goes into further detail. I've actually just taken up Boxing myself, which I've wanted to do for some time and it's pretty fun but hard on the body as well :D.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00

This was a pretty good series however I'm not particularly a fan of these generic Gundam series, as the Gundams are far too overpowering and unrealistic (combat wise) :P. I liked the political side of this series a lot, which is the only reason why I gave it such a high score :wink:.

Kaiba

I discovered this one the same time as my previous Editorship but only became Editor for this new Spring '08 anime today. So far I've only seen the first couple episodes and I'm so confused :?. I understand the basic concept of the series but that doesn't stop me from getting incredibly confused by this surreal anime, with incredibly basic animation. Like the OP theme though :D.

Ghost Hound

I'm actually the Editor for this one so I had to finish it sometime. I know that this was produced by one of the most critically acclaimed studios (Production I.G.), so I expected a lot. Sure this anime was technically spectacular, but the story and characters behind it were so dull :P. I really wonder why so many people are giving this 9s and 10s on MAL :?. Kaiji

I'm also the Editor for this one and this series is incredibly similar to its predecessor Akagi . Compared to Akagi, Kaiji has a superior story and animation however I preferred Akagi's soundtrack and characters (far too much crying in Kaiji). Kaiji is basically about what people would do for money and here's one of my favourite CLIPS :D.

Sword of the Stranger

This is a new movie by Bones (makers of FMA and Eureka 7) and it was simply amazing. It had a decent story but it also had some of the best action sequences ever, here's one (CLIP). Another amazing thing is that they actually got some Chinese speaking Voice Actors to add to the authenticity, so if you like bloody action then watch this :D.
