Tenchi Universe :P

I finished this last night (Wednesday) and boy was I glad because I was thinking of dropping it. Out of all the Tenchi Muyo! series & movies I have seen this is by far the worst :P. The whole thing was dragged out so long and was full of incredibly boring episodes but the last couple eps. did help make up for it :).

I've seen Lucky Star and I've seen Minami-ke and out of all 3 this is the one I least enjoyed :D. The characters were fun to watch and the things they did were hilarious (Osaka's slow moments) :lol: but overall this mundane series had far too many dull moments. I've still got a few more episodes left but I should finish it today :P.

I came into this series expecting the same sort of technically artistry found in previous Production I.G. works (Ghost in the Shell: SAC) and that is exactly what I got, plus an amazing adventure experience :D. The world created in this series is vast and so well thought out and the story is great as well. Well my REVIEW is into more detail.

Ever since the disappointing Rosario+Vampire anime, I had completely gone off ecchi anime series but this one managed to rekindle my love for ecchi :lol:. I must say that this one is as ecchi as an anime can possibly be but they manage to come up with creative ways to censor nudity (light beams) :P. My REVIEW goes into more detail.

Devil May Cry

I knew that anime based on regular games isn't gonna have decent story but this series was rather disappointing :(. I really don't understand why it is so overrated on this site because it's just full of utterly random stories. At least the animation & soundtrack was great :).

Bokurano

This was one of the forgotten series from last year's Spring releases, so I doubt that any of you have seen or heard of it :P. I must say that this was both great yet a depressing series to watch. The series had the same hopeless feeling that I've seen in other seinen (adult male) anime & manga (Gantz, Battle Royale, 20th Century Boys) :(. It may not have been as bad in Bokurano but it was still sad enough to stop me from caring about how things would turn out, nonetheless it had a well-thought out plot & premise. Though I couldn't be bothered to REVIEW it :D.

Zettai Karen Children

When making this anime series someone must have decide to chuck the Powerpuff Girls and Hayate no Gotoku! into a blender :D, because Zettai Karen Children is what the end result would turn out to be (after increasing the age rating) :wink:. This is the first guide that I've claimed from this year's Spring 08 and it took a lot of work and some bribing to get it :wink:. So far the series looks promising, especially seeing how it's done by Madhouse (same studio that did Claymore & Death Note). Bus Gamer

The title Bus Gamer actually stands for "Business Gamer", so it's basically about a game of business but it just seems to be about guys beating each other up in arranged team matches. I must say that this really short series had so much potential but it was ruined by it's half-baked story and rubbish action sequences :D. It's not even worth my time reviewing :P.

Hayate no Gotoku! (Hayate the Combat Butler)

I really enjoyed watching the series this past year and I'm surprised that I followed it that long, from beginning to end :D. Hayate no Gotoku! Is basically a Parody anime but unlike other ones, such as: Excel Saga and Lucky Star, this series knows its limits and any shounen anime fan can enjoy the numerous references :wink:. Akagi

This series is similar to the more well-known series Hikaru no Go, where it's about a Japanese game. In this case the game is "Mahjong" and it has to be the most confusion game ever but surprising I still enjoyed watching it :P. This is a CLIP from an episode :). My REVIEW goes into more detail. Bokura Ga Ita

Compared to other shoujo I've seen, it was nothing special but there was something about it that compelled me to finish this entire series in 2 days :D. I guess it's because this is a guide I wanted to be Editor for but because of the recent glitch I'm stuck as Trusted for the time being :P. Well the story itself was great but the characters were pretty dull but thanks to the unsatisfying ending I'm going to continue the story with the manga :).

Akagi || Kaiji

Just so you know both of these anime series are about a gambling, well Akagi is about a Japanese game (Mahjong) you may have heard of and Kaiji is about gambling in general. I have never seen any anime series like these before, so it'll be a new experience :wink:.

I've just managed to get all the episodes for both of them so I'll start by watching the older one first (Akagi) then moving onto the one which just finished airing (Kaiji) :D.

I hope all the hardcore anime fans have been enjoying the Spring 2008 anime series debut, because I sure have :D. Code Geass R2! 8)

Zero no Tsukaima (1st & 2nd season)

First I must say that I'm not much of a fan of ecchi fanservice but when done well, like in this series it becomes very enjoyable :). This series is pretty much like Harry Potter, in the way that it's about a magic school but the great thing about this series isn't the story or the concept but the 2 main characters (Saito & Louise) and their twisted relationship :P. Sadly they're both full of almost every Rom/Com cliché imaginable but at least the male protagonist can surprise us by doing things unheard of :wink:.

Ichi the Killer

This is truly one of the most violent and gruesome manga that I have read with gore almost on the same level as Battle Royale :P. Here's a PIC ! :? Out of the 3 I just finished Spice & Wolf is the best and even though the premise of medieval economics and trade wasn't that interesting, the series was pretty enjoyable thanks to the 2 main characters. You can say that I now have a thing for wolf girls. My REVIEW goes into more detail.

Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo)

Hell Girl was a pretty intense series about people (well kids in fact) seeking revenge on other people, by sending them to hell. The great thing is that there are some pretty heartbreaking and disturbing stories but the series quickly gets repetitive but at least the ending makes up for it.

I'll give it - 7.9 / 10 ^_^
