@manoogian: Yeah your right its not. As much as a love company of heroes, im glad its not. Unique high quality games like this one are need to revive the rts genre.
First phantom menace is highly underrated. Honestly except for Jar-Jar that movie had some excellent aspects. Light saber fight was probably the best to date. Best choreography while still maintaining some level of realism. The pod race was exciting and the acting for all the adults except for the gugans was pretty good. Young anakin was whiny and annoying but honestly kinda expected from a kid his age.
Second the force awakens was highly overrated. The first movie did not have a superb story like everyone likes to claim. It was backed by a fantastic universe and some interesting events which made it wonderful. VII is just a rehash in which the universe is old and no longer special, and the events were uninteresting. I dare you to find this movies equivalent to the death star trench run, battle of hoth, or pod race. The lightsaber fighting might be the most uninteresting out of any of the star wars movies. In fact nothing interesting happened the whole freaking movie cause they where two busy trying to pay homage to the old movies. They made a movie where nothing sucked, but nothing was really good either. Dont say the acting cause thats the typical level of acting now a days. I would actually say that Fins performance was alittle stiff in some sections.
Actually i think skyrim has the most un real game world. Your totally the center of that game world. Your the freakin hero of everything. You are perfect, all the characters seem to unsubstantial compared to you.
@Rotondi I think your forgetting a fundamental aspect of games is interactivity. Especially considering this game is multiplayer only. I think you tend to have self fulfilling prophecies. Also why would you watch a game you didn't think you would like for hour, don't you have better things to do with your life.
@FragTycoon lol you probably are posting this after losing a game. You define low skill as skills you personally dont have. You got used to playing a certain type of fps and cant handle new gameplay. Have you ever considered its more tactical? Have you ever thought to sit on walls, have you ever thought to get cheap bot kills? It doesn't have to play like other games fool. Also he never said that negative reviews are unacceptable he just said negative reviews without trying the game first are unacceptable.
@gamerboy100 @Mastermatta did i say it should be higher? i'm just saying it shouldn't be lower. I just learned they changed rating system. So its acceptable i guess. However i think .5s should have been left.
@NTM23 @Mastermatta I have noticed changes, and for the most part they are good. Just not the reviews. First i did not claim a conspiracy, i claimed that people are basing reviews on there opinion which sounds counter intuitive, but paid reviewers are suppose to review from the general public's eye not there own. They dont need to inform themselves they need to inform the public. They might be nice guys, but lets be honest when looking to buy you dont care what there reviewers opinion is, you care what you will think or the general public. The reviewer is supposed to know there audience and cater to them. User reviews can be personal opinion cause they can be averaged. The reviewers are paid by our time. They have an obligation to cater to us. There is no gamespot without the user.
Let me provide an example. World News reports are not allowed to give there opinion. The more they distance themselves from there opinion, the more credible a news company is. Now there exist plenty of shameful news companies, but i don't want game spot to turn into something like that. There best system was an older one. Having subcategories and have a weighting system that reflected the general population. graphics/art, gameplay, story, character, addictiveness (doesnt have to be these just potential examples). They should not be waited equally but they should exist. It also lets users who really care about a subcategory know how it was ranked in that category specifically
@nl_skipper @Mastermatta Without consistency a reviewer's opinion is not worth money. Your too stupid to realize that all reviews are now are ways to create controversy. They dont write reviews to bring people to there site cause they actually want to make a purchasing decision, they write reviews cause they want to cause controversy and have people come to argue. Game sites love trolls, it means more time and people on there site and more money from adds. Remember this is a business. So 2 years from now when i want to go back and see if a game is any good to buy, i cant because the reviews are what the reviewer likes, not what he reviewer thinks the general public likes (which by the way is what it used to be). Half the time ill end up missing out on good games, or buying shit games.
