Not really, I will play games I really like for the platinum. But unfortunatly since the trophies were released I've been in uni and had very little time to game (Untill I get the new monitor in my room which I will be able to play my ps3 on) On the 19th next month.

I have however Platinumed Fallout 3 and would have platinumed Oblivion if it had trophies the same as the X-box achievments. I do however plan to Platinum Ratchet and Clank, FFXIII and beat Uncharted on crushing for the plat.

EDIT: I hate online trophies, trophies that require two players and tophies that require grind killing for ridiculous numbers.

Full intergration which is the most important thing imo. PSN is just a little picture at the end of the XMB. Xbox Live IS the xbox. It boats community features such as IGN tips, Sentuamessage, 1 vs 100. Then there's all the little things like the lynx "game" Sky Player, Last FM, etc.

-Snooze-

You realise you can go on Lat Fm on a Wii and Ps3 aswell, And you can also go on IGN on both of them? Watch Tv (I'm in the Uk where both consoles have alot of features stripped down) using BBC Iplayer, 4 on Demand ITV player, WatchTV.com etc. PS3 also has Private chat from the XMB.

The Interface prefrence is also subjective the X-box interface is alot more colourfull and atractive to the eye but imho harder to find exactly what your looking for and slightly slower.

The real positives of Live are Cross game chat and most importantly a universal friends list. The universal friends list opens up alot of opertunities and is something the PS3 sorely lacks.

Its certainly not worth £40 perhaps £10or so but thats the price of an extra game a year for the use of the internet and something Pc's gaming does for free.

I'm in the Uk too, and i own a PS3 and a Wii along with my Xbox.

PSN does not have anything like Last.Fm or IGN - Stratergize. The browser isn't part of PSN. It's not so much the presence of these things, but the implementation of them all. Everything is intergrated so well. Like it was designed alongside the dashboard.

It's really hard to explain, if you've used them both for a reasonable amount of time, you'll notice the difference.

I understand where your coming from in the integration stance I was just saying that it is possible athlough slightly more awkward and time consuming. But the last Fm debate isn't really much when you compare it to the Vidzone (Which I think is only available on the Uk PS3's, possibly Eu) which is a very good service.

I actually thing 1 Vs 100 is my personal favourite thing on live, especially because I usually do well and theres potential microsoft points. I would however have loved Microsoft let BBC iPlayer onto the console because I'm in uni and game on a 21 inch HD Pc monitor so I don't have to pay a tv liscncencing fee and it makes my PS3 incredibly usefull for watching tv and the main reason I left my 360 at home with my brother.

I agree with the TC, the PS3 is surely running out of exclusives, but the other console seems to be picking up with some. The games that are PS3 exclusive really show off what the PS3 can do, but things are changing and the exclusives are running dry. Sony holding the attitude to not pay for exclusives is a really conceded way to think. Get with the program and invest more software into the PS3 Sony...but they're too cheap to do that! (their too busy trying to come out with the MOVE)

gamer082009

I seriously hope this is sarcasim. Sony has invested far more in the development of exclusives this Gen than Microsoft, I mean they purchased Media Molocule (Little big planet creators) Evolution Studios (Motorstorm creators), BigBig Studios (The last 3 I mentioned are just in the Uk alone) and I believe Quanitic Theory, Level 5 and Ninja theory may well be joining them 1st party sometime soon.

Wheras microsoft has actually let go of 1st Party devs, Ie bungie, and next gen with most likely all publishers/devs going mulitplat for max sales the only exclusives I can see hapening are first and sometimes 2nd party. They have also spent 80 million on timed GTA DLC, Thats utterly ridiculous! You could set up an entire studio or buy over an exsting one for that price.

I usually Only play one game at a time and play it constantly sometimes I play a RPG along with a shorter game switching between the two or abit of multiplayer. I'd Say 3 is the most I play at once.

You realise the sales record it broke was for a GOW game not an overal game sales record, and that Final Fantasys opening week was bigger.

The game did not do 1 Million in the Uk only.

-PS3 Has greater World-wide sales: DO NOT USE vgchartz.com they are not reliable. There is no reliable proof that PS3 is outselling any other console, that's the bottom line.I have yet to seecredible World Wide sales figures so don't pull the whole Europe, Aus, Japan, et al… make global sales for PS3 larger.

QUIKnEZ

So basically this is a thread about it being the final nail in the coffin in the USA (Which as we all know is the only country that actually exists in the mind of the ravid x-box fanboy). To deny European sales is ridiculous to the extream, It's a far larger market than the US with most of the recent Ninty (Ie cube andWii, I'm not sure about the N64 but I think it might have aswell)and Sony systems traditionaly selling more in that market than the US or Japan.

On System wars you grow to expect drivel arguments from teenagers but it's rare to see it from someone at such a high level.

As for the final nail in the coffin, it would more likely be the potential first nail in the coffin. The PS3 is doing very well atm and seems to be just hitting its stride in the last 6-8 months in term of quality games. It's only sold 6 million less than the x-box, it's definatly not just going to evaporate into thin air.

Under my old bed in my parents house along with every other console I've owned apart from my PS1 which is hooked up in my Grans (Shes a big spyro fan).
