80 Under siege

A band of ruthless mercenaries, led by psychopathic former CIA agent William Stranix (Tommy Lee Jones), board the American battleship USS Missouri to steal its arsenal of nuclear missiles. They arrive in the guise of a group of musicians and caterers hired for a surprise birthday party for the captain, and they seize control of the ship with the help of the corrupt Executive Officer, Commander Krill (Gary Busey). They plan to sell the nuclear weapons on the black market by unloading them onto a renegade submarine, which Stranix may have hijacked on a previous CIA mission-he had reported it sunk. Several of the officers are killed during the takeover, including Captain Adams (Patrick O'Neal), and the whole ship's company (with a few overlooked exceptions) is imprisoned below decks in the fo'c'sle.

79 Ali G Indahouse

Ali G is the leader of Da West Staines Massiv, a fictional gang composed of a group of wannabe gangstas from Staines (a small, affluent, suburban town to the west of London); their chief rivals are Da East Staines Massiv. After he goes on a hunger strike and is spotted chained to some railings by the nefarious Deputy Prime minister David Carlton (played by Charles Dance), he is drawn into a world of seedy political intrigue, as the Chancellor tries to use Ali as a tool to destroy the Prime Minister's credibility.

However Ali G's bizarre behaviour and solutions seem to actually work such as making more "relateable" education and ensuring the control of physically fit women into England. Ali G becomes incredibly popular meeting the Prime Minister's intentions and bringing his percentage up 22 percent.

78 All Quiet On The Western Front

The story follows the experiences of Paul Bäumer, a soldier whose teacher inspires him to join the German army shortly after the start of World War I. He arrives on the Western Front with his friends (Tjaden, Müller, Kropp and a number of other characters) and meets Stanislaus Katczinsky, known as Kat. The older Kat soon becomes Paul's mentor and teaches him about the realities of war. Paul and Kat swiftly become almost brothers, bonded by the hardships of the war.

77 Alien

The Nostromo, an interstellar commercial towing-vehicle with a crew of seven, has set out from Thedus to Earth, hauling twenty-million tons of mineral ore. At the start of the film, the ship's computer MU-TH-R 182, simply called "Mother" by the crew, receives an apparently unidentifiable signal from a moon orbiting a nearby planet,[4] while monitoring the ship's operations. The ship drops out of hyperspace, and "Mother" wakes the crew from stasis, so they can investigate the signal's origin. With the ore and mining facilities left in orbit, the tug portion of the Nostromo lands on the moon, suffering serious damage during the rough landing.

76 From Dusk Till Dawn

The movie opens with the fugitive Gecko brothers Seth (George Clooney) and Richie (Quentin Tarantino) fleeing the F.B.I. and Texas police after Richie has broken Seth out of prison in a bloody shootout. Seth Gecko is a cold, tough anti-hero, while his younger brother Richie is a delusional, homicidal serial rapist.

Take A Bow Kimi Raikonen

well as u can guess from the title we have a new f1 world champuion, take a bow kimi raikonen, after being the bottom of the three contenders, kimi took 10 points to clean up his season winning the title by just 1 point,

this season has had lots of firsts, kimi raikonen won his first title, ferrari won there first double since schumacher retired, and this season was the first time the title went to the wire with 3 contenders, also the first time the underdog won a three way, well deserved title for kimi.

so what happened to the golden boy, well lewwis crashed out in the 1st corner dropping down to 10th then losing his gearing and dropping to 18th, hamilton made his way up the field to finish in 7th, after alonso finished 3rd taking 6 points, both mclarens finished on 109 points, kimi took the 10 points and won in dramatic fashion.

massa was the difference maker, in the end he had to give away 1st to kimi, but a great showing from massa meaning ferrari take the double, so what can we expect in the future.

well first i wuddnt be surprised if hamilton stayed wid mclaren and kimi stayed with ferrari, as for kovaleinen who finished 16th today will probably be staying with renault, but in theend england have just failed this week in sport, but next year, hamilton will return, and can he do what he feels he cud have this year.

Grand Prix Build Up

hello everyone, here is my first blog of the day, and what a day this is, it is the deciding race in the f1 season, and what a day it will be, after last nights rugby world cup which i watched, south africa beat england 15-6, so we lost that but all eyesnow turn to lewis hamilton.

yes he needs to finish at least 4th to win the title, but he starts todays race 2 positions ahead of teammate alonso, massa may prove to be a deciding factor, he's onpole, the title may be a 3 horse race but kimi raikonen in all honesty doesnt stand a chance unless the two mclarens finish in 7th and 8th, so yeh but u never know what might happen.

today will also be a key day for many drivers, britians jenson button who did well in qualifying will be looking for a good results today, heiki kovaleinen who qualified 17th after slipping up through turn 12 losing 6 hundreds of a second, will hopefully be looking for a top ten finish to the season, so now all we can do is wait for 4pm gmt when the race is live from interlagos, i will blog later on with all my results, predictions and analysis.

Nothing Like A Clean Bill Of Health + Grand Prix Tension

hello folks, sorry bout lack of blogs, again the decorating is obstructive but i shud be back to normal soon i hope.

anyway went to the docs today to check up, and my diabetes is under control and my coeliac desease is fab,but ironically also today i went to the opticians, and my eyes are 1/4 step better than last time so theres no diabetes related illness in my eyes which is always good to hear.

anyway onto the big new of the day, grand prix de brasilio, yes qualifying is over and tommorow i will be posting my pre race build up and results and analysis after the race, massa took pole with hamilton close behind 2 hundreds of a second, kimi took third followed by alonso, webber kubica heidfeld trulli round out the top 8, my fave kovaleinen is down in 17th, so bad for him, check back tommorow for my build up and results, so bye for now

no click if you dare as i dont think this is an appropiate blog and i just cant be bothered lol

V2 OUT!

Hectic Hectic Hectic

just a quick blog to apologize for lack of activity the past week, my house is eing decorated and thingsare hectic enoguh, but things shud be back to normal now.

IT'S GOING DOWN TO THE WIRE FoLKS

well after yesterdays pole it looked like lewis hamilton was on route to his first world championship, but after crashing out in shanghai, kimi raikonnen took the full 10 points, alonso taking 2nd and massa 3rd, but some other strange results, toro rossas sebastian vettel finished 4th, followed by jenson button in 5th, david coulthard took 8th and point, my fave kovaleinen came 9th just out of the points.

so hamilton still has 107 points, alonso has 103, and kimi raikonen has 100, so in 2 weeks time at interlagos, if kimi raikonen wins, hamilton must finish in the top 4, regardless of fernandos position to win, if alonso wins, then hamilton has t oscore a podium meaning the two wud tie and something wud have to be decided, but if hamilton fails in 2 weeks, it all depends on alonso and raikonnen, raikonnen looks to be the underdog in the title race but looking at recent weeks, he looks on form, 3 men, one world title, one race, 7 points in it, and only 2 hours sepereate a man from his dreams, can hamilton take what he has been working for for so long, or will his dream be crushed in front of his very eyes, all we can do now is wait.

in other news, i am now a level 23 a super bagman, wooo alright, gigity gigity goo, also, about my films, i have had a hectic weekend so my films will continue next week, and well i seem to do this a lot, so hell heres somethnig to keep you amised for now.

A Grand Prix Masterclass

hello there, as the name implies tis is an f1 blog, so as i said the japanese grand prix was a masterclass, i watched it live at 6am british time, it is repeatred at 11:30, so i might watch it again, nothing else to do really so what happened.

well hamilton qualified on pole and leada flawless race to pole, meaning he now has 107 points, he is now 12 points ahead of his partner alonso, after alonso crashed and retired in the appauling track conditions, so hamilton looks to have it wrapped up, all he has to do is finish ahead of fenando next week in shanghai to win the world title, but lets not forget kimi raikonnen, who has 90 points, so if he wins both of the final races and hamilton gets 2 points, which is unlikely but raikonnen can stilldo it, it is now a 3 way race for the fia f1 world title. your thoughts please

now you may have noticed i missed out 2nd, well my favourite driver, haiki kovaleinen qualified 12th, but finished 2nd, after a masterclass of driving he takes home a well deserved 8 points, his biggest result since finishing 4th in canada, he the rookie takes his first podium of his career, and now has 30 points, he is currently 7th in the standings, 6th place robert kubica has 35 points so kova has a chance to go overall 6th, david coulthard finished 4th in japan in his red bull, giancarlo fisichella finished 5th in the renault in front of fellipe massa in his ferrari, 7th place and 2 points for robert kubica, 8th place and finalpoint for vitantonio liuzzi in the str-ferrari, you thoughts please.

in all some great action, and a great result for britan and my fave driver, as far as the constructors goes, ferrari have 170 points as mclaren have had there points taken awway, the 2nd place bmw have only92 points, so they cant win the constructors, so all eyes are on shanghai, where lewis hamilton looks to take the gold, so the question is, gold silver and bronze, but who gets what medal, some links are below for various pages of the official f1 web page.

home page season results drivers standings constructors standings teams drivers

some links there for you to enjoy, please post your thoughts and predictions, and i leave you with another little link. that you can comment on if u like.

Top Films 85-81

85 Battle of the river plate

The film portrays the Battle of the River Plate, a naval battle of 1939, between a Royal Navy force of three cruisers (HMS Exeter, HMS Ajax and HMS Achilles) and the German pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee.

Unlike many British war movies of its time, The Battle of the River Plate treats the Germans as honourable opponents rather than as cardboard cut-out "Huns". This was a recurrent theme in Powell and Pressburger's films, including The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp.

84 BulletProof Monk

a 2003 martial arts comedy fantasy film starring Chow Yun-Fat, Seann William Scott, Jaime King, directed by Paul Hunter. It is loosely based on the comic book by Michael Avon Oeming.

83Happygilmore

Happy (Adam Sandler) is an aspiring ice hockey player who masters a powerful slapshot that his father taught him as a child. However, his aggression and poor skating ability render it impossible for him to make any hockey team. His grandmother (Frances Bay), with whom he's lived almost all his life due to an unfortunate hockey related incident which killed his father, has not paid taxes on her home for several years. As such, she owes $270,000 to the IRS and the house that Happy's grandfather "built with his bare hands" is about to be repossessed. Due to a series of events that lead Happy to believe in his own ability to use his powerful slapshot in the game of golf, he joins the PGA Tournament in order to win enough money to buy back his grandmother's house from the government. Aspiring PGA Tournament winner Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) sees Gilmore as a threat, and tries to thwart any attempt of his to steal his thunder. Although his golf game and his manners on the green aren't rounded, Happy is guided by a one-handed golf coach (Carl Weathers) and the tournament PR head (Julie Bowen), who help him in finding his own way to win tournaments with a cooler head. After signing an endorsement deal with Subway, Happy earns the $250,000 he needs to buy back his grandmother's house. At the auction, he is outbid by Shooter McGavin, who offers Happy the house under the terms that he in exchange quits the tournament. Happy is persuaded to continue with the tournament by the notion that his grandmother would rather see him succeed than have the house. Shooter agrees to give Happy the house if he beats him in the tour championship.

82 Shakedown

Roland Dalton (Weller) is a public attorney, finishing up his time until he gets married to his fiance - and with it, work for his father-in-law's prestigious law firm... although he loves the work he does right now. One of his last cases is with Michael Jones (Richard Brooks), a crack dealer who is accused of shooting a cop in Central Park. Jones doesn't deny that he's a crack dealer, or that he shot the cop. What he does deny, though, is that he shot the cop for no reason. Jones calls the cop he shot a 'blue jeans cop', but doesn't say anything more when pressed by Dalton.

81 Man Of Miracles

In The Man Who Could Work Miracles, the gods decide to experiment. They give an assistant to a haberdasher (George Fotheringay), played by Roland Young, almost unlimited powers. Fotheringay cannot change people's opinions or feelings.

Fotheringay tries to use his powers for good but discovers that the use of his powers brings many unexpected side effects. Not dissuaded, he then tries to stop war.

The film ends with Fotheringay hectoring the audience and deciding to relinquish his powers.

90 OldBoy

The movie then cuts backward to the year 1988. Dae-su is a Korean businessman with a wife and daughter. On being picked up by police for being drunk and disorderly, he has to be bailed out by his old friend, Joo-Hwan. While Joo-Hwan is in a phone booth talking with Dae-su's daughter, Yeun-Hee, and his wife, Kim Ja-Hyun, Dae-su is kidnapped by unidentified people.

89 Tora! Tora! Tora!

The film is a dramatization based upon the actual history of events leading up to the attack, to the extent these facts were known at the time of production. While later research has shown many beliefs of the time to be incorrect,[citation needed] nothing in the film was disproved. The commanders in Hawaii, General Short and Admiral Kimmel, though scapegoated for decades, are portrayed as taking defensive measures for the apparent threats, including relocation of the fighter aircraft at Pearl Harbor to the middle of the base, in response to fears of sabotage from local Japanese insurgents. They received limited warning of the increasing risk of aerial attack, which was better understood in Washington than in Honolulu.

88 The Wrong Trousers

Wallace and GromitThe film begins at 62 West Wallaby Street on Gromit's birthday. After falling downstairs from his bed via a trapdoor in the ceiling (which also dresses him at the same time), Wallace is greeted with a large pile of bills. Meanwhile, Gromit subtly attempts to remind Wallace that it is his birthday. After surveying their depleted funds, Wallace lets slip that he has not forgotten Gromit's birthday after all and presents Gromit with a somewhat unwelcome gift of a dog collar, and a second present of a pair of ex-NASA robotic "Techno Trousers", designed to alleviate the burden of taking him for walks.

87 Recess Schools Out

Dr. Phillium Benedict, (voiced by James Woods) the former secretary of education (fired after trying to abolish recess nationwide in a prior episode) and former principal of Third Street School, steals a tractor beam and places it in the school during summer vacation. He plans to use the device to alter the moon's orbit, thereby altering the weather and creating permanent winter, and even get rid of summer vacation! He hopes to raise American test scores by doing this (and become president).

85 Lost In Space

In the year 2058, the Earth will soon be uninhabitable after the irreversible effects of pollution and global warming. The United Global Space Command serves as the planetary government. Professor John Robinson, lead scientist of the Jupiter 2 Mission, will lead his family to the habitable planet Alpha Prime to prep it for colonization. The Jupiter 2 is equipped with a hyperdrive that allows faster-than-light travel, which will eventually be employed to evacuate the citizens of Earth. However hypergates must be constructed on Earth and Alpha Prime to provide stable points of departure and arrival. The project is accelerated after terrorist forces send two armed fighters to destroy the hypergate under construction and assassinated the pilot of the Jupiter Mission. Major West manages to destroy the enemy fighters and is, unwillingly, drafted as the new pilot of the Jupiter Mission.

some more great films and yeh please comment and seen as this is something becoming.
