I agree to an extent. My problem with this Gen of gaming is all of the handholding. Games are too easy. Linear, checkpoints every 5 steps...there's no sense of accomplishment like there used to be. I'm not sure I agree with the innovation part, you just don't find it with retail releases too often. Most big developers play it safe and stick with what is working for them. If you look at XBLA, PSN, Steam, or the Indie Marketplace you will find plenty of developers trying to innovate.

I'm a collector, I hope not. I like seeing my shelf grow larger with game cases. I like the option of digital distribution, but I also wish they would put out limited copies for retail. Even if they need to mark them up. I would love copies of some XBLA games even if I had to pay an extra $10+ for them.

I am personally boycotting GameStop. I'm so tired of going there to buy a "New" game and they have to pull an opened display case off the shelf. For all I know that game could have been used. Do they not stock games at a game store? I also had a bad experience ordering online from them. I received my games, all of which in generic cases that looked like somebody stepped on them. No manuals and the discs looked like they had cigarette ashes on them and were kept in extreme heat. Baffling to me that a company can operate like this.

I think it would have to be by ID. I hope they are prepared for the amount of people who will be downloading.

Not that I know of. 400 points is the minimum purchase :(

Best of luck with your recovery.

PS3 should implement the Xbox Live Party Chat feature. Even though it takes away some of the teamwork when you have randoms on your team, you shouldn't have to subject yourself to idiots like that.

Here it is, I found it.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/115/1155105p1.html

The multiplayer component in Dungeon Siege III isn't exactly what you might expect. It's an action role-playing game that supports drop-in, drop-out play for up to four players. Two can play on the same screen locally, and up to four can play online. If you're in a game with a friend playing locally, it's possible for two others online to hop into the game. The catch is if it's not a game you started, you can't import your character. And if you join in to help out in someone else's game, when you exit you won't retain that character's loot or progression through the story. I thought that was important to point out in case the messaging so far has made it seem it's possible to bring existing characters into the games of others. IGN

There's something gamebreaking about the co-op, but I can't remember what it is. I think it might be like Fable, where one player can't save their progress.
