:( With this game was better. Love NHL games but this one just seems to be missing the "spark" it used to have last gen.

Absolutely love the game so far. Level 13 at the moment. I agree with Kevin on this review. The game has some short comings but when playing with friends the game is so much fun. Who cares if it got a 6. If you are enjoying it that is the important part :)

I feel Diablo 3 is a lot more solid game. I would be very happy with another expansion.

@jimmy_russell @Ailurusf The game is good. Kevin is a good game reviewer, but it is his opinion on the game. I personally am really enjoying the game. If you are short on cash and do not want to take the dive in, I would recommend watching some people live streaming the game.

I can somewhat understand this. This gen the consoles are a lot like PC's to develop for. The one downside is Microsoft and Sony still need to update video drivers and continue to tweak and update dev kits. This happened last gen. One example is NHL 07 for Xbox 360, it ran at 30FPS. A year late NHL 08 came out for Xbox 360 which can at 60 FPS, but the Ps3 version, how it was the Ps3's first year out, NHL 08 only ran at 30 FPS. The next year, NHL 09 ran at 60 FPS for both systems.

If it wasn't for the professionalism of Kevin VanOrd and the awesomeness of Danny O'Dwyer I am not sure if I would have stayed a Gamespot fan.

Awesome review Kevin. I am having an absolute blast with FF XIV ARR. This review is spot on. It does not reinvent the wheel, but it is a solid MMORPG that I see myself playing for a very long time.

NHL 13 and NHL 14 are fun, but they are very weak games. I 100% agree with his final comments about goalies making insane saves to only have the CPU take a half assed shot and go in. NHL 13 had this issue too. I would make insane shots, through traffic, passing side to side and the goalie would make an insane save. This only seemed to happen in superstar. Anything else just is too easy. I always outshoot the cpu 30+ shots to their 12. Out of their 12, 3 or 4 goals make it in. Maybe it is just me, but I hope next gen gets this series back on track. I have been playing NHL games since 94. I have bought every version of EA's NHL since then.

Looking for attention David Ellis? You need to look at the overall package Kojima is going to bring to the table.. not just the female character's looks....
