Does anyone who has the new a1 version know, if you need to like update the bios on the board? Or is it already their latest bios version and what not? Also do you have to reinstall all the drivers and stuff? Or can you just plug it in and it'll work fine.

http://videos.howstuffworks.com/computer-build-1-video.htm

Go to that site and look at the videos, it's a bit outdated and new parts will be a tiny bit different. But you will see the basics of how to put together a computer.

I have my old ravenshield cds that I intend to install again on my new computer. But it is badly scratched and since it needs the cd in it inorder to play, is their any way to like copy the cd to my hard drive so I can play it without using the cd? I don't want it to be broken so badly that I can't even play the game that I bought any more.

Sorry if this is against the rules you can close down the thread but I am just trying to find answers on how I can continue playing my game without fear of breaking the cd and having to buy a new one.

I have a question, since I have my quad core processor and need to eventually get it exchanged when I can. How will that affect my vista home premium already installed on my computer/ drivers that I updated for my graphics card and stuff. Am I going to need to like re-install it all so that it recognizes it or no. Also, with the new a1 boards will they come with the newest bios update so that I don't need to flash it and upgrade to I think it's like (xx5) or something with a 5 for the latest one.MercenaryKnight

You never know, someone could be using like dell or some other place and copying the parts here. Sometimes people want to start into computer gaming and don't really know what is good. You can't always judge it by spending xxxx dollars as a good computer. I spent 2000 a few years back for a dell 1.6ghz computer with 256mb ram and 40gig hdd.
