I will say, what most people will say. 10,000 rpm drives aren't really worth it. They cost a lot more and the speed isn't going to justify the cost when you could have a 320gb western digital hd for 80 bucks.

Also, for the optimal computer you want (super high end) water cooling can be very hazardous if you build the computer yourself. You never know what'll leak or malfunction. Just look around for prices on sli 8800gtx's pre built computers with the highest processor speeds around and judge from there.

On my new computer I bought the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer sound card. When I watched videos of how to put together a computer, I never saw one that showed how you install the sound card. I have the 680I mobo that will be used with it and was wondering if I am going to have any trouble with installing it.

Also, if there is any sound port on the front of my case I am assuming I am going to need to plug it into somewhere on my soundcard instead of the mobo?

Dell recently bought alienware so if you check dell they have the I believe it's called xps 720 with water cooled, over clocked processor which can probably rival any other computer maker. It would probably only be about 6000 or a bit more depending on what else you add to it. But I assume it's some of the highest possible computers you can get.

I just ordered my new computer parts and was trying to figure out some good software that'll be able to track the performance and temperatures etc.

Also for antivirus/spyware I might be able to get norton antivirus (unsure if it's that great or not) or go with free stuff that I can find.

I have heard that Nod32 and Kaspersky are good for antivirus, then free spyware would be spybot search and destroy.

Note, that these would be for vista home premium os so I just was wanting to make sure that it all would be compatible/ personal opinions on good free software.

Just a bump to see if I could get some help on programs to check like computer heat/ performance and free antivirus/spyware programs that aren't going to give me a million pop up ads.

Also, one last question. I have read about people who have programs that will check their computer parts amount of heat and stuff that shows performance basically. I was wondering, what programs I should get so that I can check to make sure everything is working right. And also, I was wondering for gaming I heard that norton antivirus has caused a lot of problems for games (unsure if it's true) so is there some recommended free spyware/ antivirus programs that isn't going to be installing a lot of popup ads and stuff that I can put on my new computer.
