A week ago this weird problem started where sometimes at the log in screen the mouse I have which is a Razer Naga will become unresponsive for the first 30- 40 secs upon boot. The buttons work but it will not track until this 40 something seconds are up when it used to react to movement the very second the log in screen comes up. Any one experienced something like this, are these symptoms of a dying mouse? I have an old mx518 laying around and it's works instantly, after everything is loaded and at the log in screen, so I don't think it's my rig.

Yea, that does sound like a video card overheating problem, back in 04' I had a 6800gs that overheated twice while playing wow it would cause my pc to randomly restart.

Hmm, I had some of the same problems when playing wow or any other game but my problem was a faulty stick of ram, are you getting blue screens after it crashes?

Meh, I don't really believe in future proofing, I mean sure buying all the top of the line parts will save you from upgrading in a year or two, maybe.You're just delaying the inevitable really, your parts are going to still become obsolete.

I have a new memory 4gb kit coming this week from a rma, I was wondering will faulty ram allow you to install an os? The bad kit that I rma'd let me install windows 7 perfectly and was pretty fast I may add, but it would crash in games at random sometimes two crashes a day to constant crashes. I know it was the memory causing the crashes because I tried the module in two diffrent slots it still caused bsod's but when I took the bad module out I didn't have one single crash after it was removed.I just find it wierd that faulty memory would allow me install an os, is this normal for faulty ram to be stable enough to allow an operating system to be installed?

[QUOTE="MerckmanX"]

[QUOTE="Bigsteve3570"]If you can't beat performance per clock, just add more cores .... >_>....BLKR4330

I agree with your statement, I hope AMD changes the architecture by this time instead of going with this "just add more cores" crap aswell.

how does this even come close to crap? they sell them at very competitive prices, there are more and more scenario's where extra cores really make a difference, their more-core strategy regularly gets you (an) extra core(s) for free and there's even a slight chance this will work on an am3 socket..

I'm personally looking for a real response from AMD for the Core i7 series, it seems their only response is "We'll add more cores next time." which is clearly not working.You'll have to be a fool not to see that AMD has the best prices, a quad core for 150+ bucks is an unbeatable deal which is why I bought the 955 instead of the i7 950 that I originally had planed for this build at the time .You still have people that will spend that extra buck just so they will have that overall better performace which AMD doesn't have atm.
