Gaming wise they are pretty close in performance but the i7 is the overall better cpu.One feature I personally like about the X58 Mobo is the ability to use SLI or Crossfire.

Nope. I'm going to stick with ATI for the time being, thinking about upgrading to a 5870 or possibly a 5970 later this year.Personally, I feel more comfortable with ATI gpus in my AMD builds but thats just me.
Wow, 4gb of vram.....This card is truely for enhusiasts with disposable income.
Um.. at 1440x900 a 4850 can max everything out. Don't know what these people are talking about. Unless he upgraded his monitor any other card would be a waste of money.SinfulPotato
I second this, did the rest of you guys even look at his system specs in his sig? The 5850 or the GTX285 would be bottlenecked/overkill with his current build.
I think the 5770 is also your best choice, anything higher than that you may start to see some bottlenecking in your current setup.
Yea, I don't think it's a good choice to go with a Core 2 right now, since socket 775 is on it's way out. The i3, i5 or i7 is what you would want to take a look at, as previously stated.
The first iPhone 3g, thinking about going with Verizon for the BB Storm 2 or staying with AT&T to get Apple's new iPhone.
I think with newer games coming out, quad cores are looking more useful than expected in terms of gaming.I think soon quad cores will be replacing dual cores, while the six core cpus will be what quad cores are today.
Bragging rights I guess, I never really seen the point in SLI or Crossfire even though I have a board that supports 4 gpus at once. To each his own I guess, I rather have one newer card thats faster or just as fast as two cards in Crossfire or Sli.
