Its a great piece of technology, and one that I use just about everyday. Movies, music, games, Internet, RSS, it does it all! However, just know that the PSP is pricey. If you get a core package for $200, just don't forget to pick up a memory stick pro duo, too. 1 gigabyte should suffice.
The PSP is doing fine, as a matter of fact I believe PSP sales are starting to pick up again. At the very least I know sales have been steady. The PSP seems to get at least one "AA" game per month, so its definitely got the games now too.
I personally use my PSP almost everyday. Not always for games, but I'm still getting plenty of use out of it. So for me at least, the PSP is not dead. Its the center of my "digital lifeforbidden>
[QUOTE="MgunHunter"] If I bought a Wii or Xbox360, I would miss out on enjoying many of my favorite games. Sure, some of my favorites will also be on the 360, but all of them will be on the PS3. I'll spend the extra cash if thats what it takes to play the games I like. Magical_Zebra
Why not just buy all the consoles then?
Because I don't have much of a reason to buy a Wii or 360, since the games I like have always been with Playstation. I'm sure if I owned an original Xbox for a few years then there would be games I felt that I needed to play on the 360. For example, Xbox owners who played Halo 1 and 2 are going to want to play Halo 3, and the only way to do that is to buy a 360.
I am just like that. I have followed great games like MGS for many years, and in order to continue enjoying those games I'll have to by a PS3.
Thats the reason for buying a console IMO. I guess in a sense its brand loyalty, but I think its a bit more justified than just, "Its Playstation!"
