@dreamfist11 @Stonecutters908 Oh I believe you. I see them everywhere too. But you know what? I think people don't want to buy the White Wii U. Game Stop told me that customers that want the Wii U always ask for the Deluxe Set first. If they're sold out, most won't buy the Basic Set. They'll wait for more Deluxe Sets to come in. And when I'm out somewhere like Walmart or Target, I always notice that there are more Basic Sets then there are Deluxe sets. So maybe having two different sets is a bad idea?
@Stonecutters908 I agree. The price is too high on both bundles. That will directly affect sales more than anything else for Nintendo. I think it's hilarious that you mentioned how quiet the machine is for Netflix, haha. I noticed that too and use it over the other two machines for the very same reason. :P
@dreamfist11 This is true. The holiday season is THE time to move units. I'll admit, I don't know the exact factors to explain why Game Stop's Wii U supply is "abundant". But I don't think Bhatia knows either. I agree with @Stonecutters908 that he is making an educated guess here. I go to Game Stop too and I see Wii U's everywhere. There's definitely not a shortage. But when I talk to the guys there, they tell me the console is selling.
This is Game Stop. Just one outlet. We're also talking about a time frame less than two months. I'm also curious as to why Arvind Bhatia doesn't give us specific figures? I mean, if you're an analyst/industry watcher (with a hand in investor's notes mind you), you should have some numbers to back up your reports.
