Amazing cast for what already looks to be a promising story. This has become one of my most anticipated games this year since finding all I can about it. Just a few more weeks, can't wait.
This is so awesome! Loved every minute... the knights are hilarious. All the costumes are great, I really liked the stylized batman costumes', batman's in particular; then you have hawaiian joker on the side. haha... very good stuff.
@IkedaTeramusa First, Funcom has more than distinguish themselves with The Secret World. Why does "their F2P scenario" worry you again?
Now you are belittling their game due to announcements? You must love to troll, every one of your posts fails miserably. Your predictions are flawed and the fact that you are getting GW2 because your "budget" is interesting. You are saying micro-transactions will cause people to "jump ship" yet there are mirco-transactions in GW2...You sir are a living contradiction of yourself, I will quote you, "I have a budget for a pay2play MMO." Pay2play MMO... think for a minute of what that entails...
@IkedaTeramusa @marz311 You've misread marz311's point. The fact that you are getting GW2 which has a cash shop in it, that's right micro-transactions, make your view mute. Stop bashing for the sake of it please.
The Secret World is very unique, the atmosphere alone captivates me. I enjoyed watching Kevin's live-streams, from his excitement to frustrations it was a blast. One particular thing to note is this game is beautiful in full 1080p, I feel bad Kev wasn't able to stream it as such. Regardless the story and writing will grip you.
The setting makes great work of being a mystery, you aren't coddled and the clues you are given really make you feel like you are a detective. The writing at times does seem unusual but the voice acting helps bring it to life. It's Funcom, the intelligence in these quests to the lore are incredible.
Now the combat does leave much to be desired, though far from horrible. The menu(s) have grown on me and it's pretty intuitive of how they have it setup. I don't like the fact that other players can hinder your quest(s) though... and I was right there with you Kevin haha. PVP is interesting, the team outfits and the goals are neat, but that's not this games strongest point.
I concur with your gripes Kevin, as those were the only things that I had doubt of in this game. That being said I will be getting this next paycheck asap. The updates and installments seem promising and the combat will be receiving and appearance lift as well as mechanical Turnquist has stated.

I've been watching Kevin's livestreams' and so far it's really appealing to me. I'm a huge fan of customization, story, atmosphere which TSW pulls off very well for what it does. The combat does leave more to be desired... I really hope they do some work on that and the "floaty" way your character moves.
Other than that the only thing keeping me from this is the monthly fee and the cash shop inside the game, I really would get this asap if it weren't for that. I just don't want to sink money into something that's going to be f2p or has aspects of it already; just be one or the other.

Ubisoft did have an awesome game showcase this year, with Watch Dogs being the most amazing thing out of this whole thing imo. They can stop with the Splinter Cell redundancy though, especially since they kicked Micheal Ironside out of the picture.
Aisha Tyler really is awesome, to anyone who is a fan of her I suggest watching her in 24, very awesome.
