@m4a5 Data mining is unconstitutional and I don't have to accept it from video game console, my PC, or on my phone as normal. I am one of many people trying to help Rand Paul and the others fight this bullshit by signing his petition to end it.
@m4a5 @MinerAvatar @COPMAN221ISBACK Right, it is in a sleep mode. Just with the NSA crap we all just found out about that isn't very comforting to know, at least to me, since it has night vision and a mic built in. If I could unplug the darn camera that wouldn't be as big an issue but you can't or the Xbox doesn't work. If you unplug the console from the wall then everything is really off, however if you forget to plug it in for over 24 hours you have yourself a $500 brick.
@m4a5 @MinerAvatar @COPMAN221ISBACK That is only that feature you shut off, not the Kinect itself. Even the XBox when off is really in a stanby state read the link for yourself.
@COPMAN221ISBACK Next time someone calims you can shut off the Kinect just post this form this link.
You are in control of when Kinect sensing is On, Off or Paused: If you don’t want the Kinect sensor on while playing games or enjoying your entertainment, you can pause Kinect. To turn off your Xbox One, just say “Xbox Off.” When the system is off, it’s only listening for the single voice command -- “Xbox On,” and you can even turn that feature off too. Some apps and games may require Kinect functionality to operate, so you’ll need to turn it back on for these experiences. http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/privacy
No where does it say you can turn it fully off that I have been able to find.
@xxYetterxx The 10 people have to be on a family plan just like it is today (but only 4 people allowed on that right now), not your self and friends in another household, like so many people seem to think. The 10 members have to all be registered on one xbox where there is a primary account and 9 secondary accounts. The secondary accounts can only purchase items if the primary account gives them money to do it. So no, you don't get to share your games plus 9 other peoples games library, only your game library as the primary account holder. Read the links for your self so you and your 9 friends know how it works and are not taken by surprise when you can't use each others library of games. Microsoft has been kind of tricky about this so far and has many people thinking you and 9 friends all get to pool and share from one vast library of games but you don't.
Make special note of how it say "Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time." so if you wanted to play with all ten of you, can not happen.
From the Family plan FAQ (they are ending MS points so this will change to say cash)
"Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack utilizes unified billing, the primary Family Pack member has the option to purchase Microsoft points and give them to other Family Pack members, who can use them to buy movies, shows, games and more on Xbox LIVE." and "Secondary members cannot add a credit or debit card to their Xbox LIVE account
I think their games are never total crap, but only OK to good, and none of them are great. Plus all of them are short games and not worth full retail price, got to wait for a reduced price to get your moneys worth from them in my opinion. I can say that this is the only game besides Dead Rising 3 that the X1 has that even looked interesting to me that wasn't multiplatform (Ryse looked way to QTE based). I hope they end up releasing it a year later on PC for a reasonable reduced price, not a system seller buy it's self as the low number of comments in this article shows.
@MateykoSlam @Cloud_imperium @mrboone01 Seriously Skyrim has tons more content vs the Witcher 2 and plenty of good RPG story lines that are very different from each other. Compare the Mage Guild quests with the Dark Brotherhood for example, very different from each other. I can honestly say I found the Witcher 2 to be very linear and kind of dull with one of the worst endings I have ever witnessed (my opinion like yours of Skyrim). Like Kevin said also the level up system sucked, the one in Skyrim was better, but I still think the best level up system was Fallout New Vegas with less grinding needed and your perks made an impact.
That said I am still willing to give the Witcher 3 a chance because it will be more like Skyrim, with an open world I mean. You do not have to hate on one game to like the other. I say this because mostly when I see someone call Skyrim boring, it is almost always a Witcher 2 fan. Almost like your not allowed to like both games or something. Skyrim did something right or it would not have sold over 15 million copies, and the Witcher 2 sold well for how Niche the story is with only one character to choose from, Geralt. Good thing for all RPG fans.
@GinRummy92 @mikemaj82 To be fair current gen controllers retailed new when they came out for $49.99 for the wireless ones, and with MS new comment of "we haven't set a price yet", it might be $49.99 again. At Walmart you can get one for $38 just like Amazon right now, but that is a sale price, normal is still $49.99
