I quoted the article directly that says it (second paragraph) before it mentions the free to play games model (third paragraph), it is right after the part you quoted (1st paragraph). It has also been reported by many other sights as well, not just IGN. Way down there in the comments I posted another link if you feel like trying to find it, go ahead.

I really like the Elder Scroll games but I will not pay $15 a month to play one game.

That said, GameSpot needs to correct their article as the PSN will not require a fee to play this MMO game as per IGN and others. The article says "Sony Online Entertainment has already decided its MMOs won't require players to have a PS Plus subscription."

@deftones2366 I would agree except for the fact that they make FIFA that has 22 players yet has improved every year and has very decent presentation. FIFA moves faster and has more going on over a larger area (from goal to goal) then Madden ever does at any one time. This years Madden is just now getting features we had in Madden 2005 on the PS2 and first Xbox, like an owner mode.

Ever since they got the exclusive deal with the NFL and took out the competition they have gotten very lazy with Madden. The only reason FIFA is good I bet is because of the PES series. Look at what happened with NBA Live, they had to scrap it and start over since the NBA 2K games kicked its but, what EA and the Madden team need is competition. It has been 8 years on this gen and still Madden 2005 is a better game overall then any of this generations Maddens.

If they could, they would get a deal with the US Military and keep CoD from ever being made then pump out yearly BF games like they do with Madden. Think about it, now 8 years and games later, with Madden 25 they just now have the same features that Madden 2005 had on the PS2 and first Xbox. They call it "new" that you can now be an owner and set prices, etc, this guy is a comedian.

@soccerpzn @stoneface91 PSN doesn't require you to have a Plus account for MMORPG's either as reported by IGN and others.

@Dantes0007 Says someone that must never have played GTA4 as Iron Man or the Hulk, let alone Skyrim with new quest mods, animations, graphic updates, etc. You must hate mods that give you endless replayability then. Any game you can mod like Skyrim, GTA4, etc, will always be better on the PC because it isn't such a controlling closed system that will not let you mod it. I'm still going to get a PS4 to go with my PC for the exclusives Sony has to offer, but PC always wins for games.

@comb5 Your not, they are just some of the very few that did. I have been on here for years also and really haven't used any of those features.

Kind of glad honestly, it was very redundant to me. Just for GTA4 I had to log into Steam, Windows Live, and the Rockstar Social Club. How much DRM does one game need anyway?
